I like the genuine nature of your reviews. You relate to the average family man who has a home gym. Super down to earth and have a great grip on the reality of being a home gym owner. I love how you’re not a rogue or bust reviewer. Keep up the solid work.
Great job! I get my Hydra with all these attachments on Monday based on your last video! Good luck to you and your wife with the lack of sleep due to the future newborn and congratulations!
Congrats on the baby. I find myself coming to your channel recently with the products you've been reviewing. Also commenting for algorithm and just subscribed!
Definitely love these videos! I was thinking about buying the rep 3x3 but now you have me intrigued to review it more. I want the compatibility to get tons of attachments but didn't realize that the measurements were different
It's a slight difference and you can often make it work but as an attachment gets more complex (the Ares is the most extreme example) it becomes more difficult if not impossible to swap between.
I have bells of steels lat pull down, functional trainer, reverse hammer and this seal row. Really happy with everything and for the cost you can’t beat it
Really like the Bells Of Steel product reviews, as a Canadian they are considerably cheaper than anything else by the time you factor exchange rate and shipping, but a second opinion is always valuable when trying to make a decision in a "vacuum" about a product there are few reviews of because it's newish, still wrestling with whether to get the Reverse Hammer 2.0
Really happy for the BOS review. You have me considering getting some of their items. Just one complaint on this video. Never EVER shoot that angle again at 7:03 time stamp.
I removed the plastic end plug from my lat tower and then took an angle grinder to cut out a slot so I could do forward movements like face pulls. Looks like you could do the same here.
Awesome video. Can the seal row replace an adjustable bench for incline bench? I have a flat bench already and no room for a second bench. Best wishes with the new baby!
An incline bench is defiantly better and more comfortable there because it has more support. I prefer it for rows and curls but we've used it for a lot. And thank you!
I was in the same situation a while ago. I did have an incline bench, a flat bench and a seal row pad. I finally gave my Incline bench away to create more room around my gym. For incline dumbbell bench, I think the seal row pad works just fine. I do train quite a bit of powerlifting, so a really nice flat bench (eg. REP FB-5000) plus a mediocre Incline bench (created by flat bench + seal row pad) for assistance work is my preferred combination. Also, I am able to train flat bench press and chest supported rows as a superset, which I always quite liked.
Will the 72inch Lat pull-down attachment work with my HR-2 half rack attachment? The height of those uprights come out to 72 inches. It’s monster lite.
It should. At worse it'll be a little lose but you can always shim the UHMW with tape if that happens. I'm actually giving my seal row pad to my buddy who has a PR-4000.
1) Why would i use to the pad over a good bench? 2) is there a possiblity of hitting yoru head on the fixture that holds the pad+arm? in your video your head is very close and if you arent carefuly or doing smething heavy seems you will hit your forehead/back of head on it.
A bench is better but for things like spider curls I like this better. It can also be used for a lot of exercises but some, like seal rows the bench gets in the way of the movement whereas this doesn't. I guess you could hit your head but I never have and I'm not sure it's much of an issue but I could see how a smaller front mount could be nice.
i have a question, i have msg'd crandall fitness but as of yet have not gotten a response....crandall makes free swinging lever arms, which allows you to bring your hands together when doing things like machine presses. They say it fits 5/8 hole and 1in racks like the monster or monster lite. But one thing i read about hydra racks is that their 3x3 isn't really 3x3, it's slightly off. Did they do that so 'only" bells of steel attachements fit them? Since i badly want those free swing arms, this could impact my choice of racks. I really like these hydra racks tho
Thanks for the review. What’s your thoughts , do you think that they would fit on a Rep PR4000 rack ? I know BOS says a true 3x3” rack and a Rep rack is only a hair under true 3x3. Has Anyone tried them on a Rep rack ?
Hey Gluck, I recently got my Hydra rack and noticed that it didn’t come with any instructions. How did you assemble the lat pull-down and low row attachment? Is there a pdf, because I don’t see a video on their site. Thanks
Ours came with instructions. I'd reach out to them. They were packed in the box with the lat pulldown parts. It was pretty easy to put together but I've also done it a few times so I might just have confused experience with it not being too bad.
Does the seal row or lever arms use a bushing for the moment arm or is it just a bolt? BOS doesn’t specify on the website and it’s hard to tell from the website images.
I get alot of use from these lever arms. I keep track of the trolley positions for each exercise in my workout tracking sheets. For someone that has limited space, these are a no-brainer imo. I made a leg press and leg extension with these. Each take about 5 minutes to set up but I equate that to the time I would have to wait for a machine to open up at a commercial gym on most days. I dont have the room for the separate machines in my garage.
Quick question Gluck.. on the handles side of the sliding lever arms, what number hole would I be able to fit my rogue monolift attachments if the arms are at the highest lever on the rack (90’’ height) ? Thanks!!
Great video, I was thinking of adding the Lat pull-down to my 72 inch monster lite half rack. One thing i would be interested in, do you think you could belt squat with the lower pully? That would be a complete game changer. PS. I think the leg lock could work great for Nordic Curls as well

Idk if you have any insider report. But I'm taking of getting bos hydra rack. But I'm in love with primefitness hlp design. Is there a way to add the lat tower into the rack?
Kinda. The Rogue Monster Rack is 1" holes and hardware but the seal row pad for example fits in the Monster keyholes (they're 5/8" like the Hydra). That's how I use mine most of the time
I was wondering the same thing. Don't know about you, but I have the bit older 4000 where the side of the upright only has holes every 6 inches so it would only potentially work facing forward.
Just to save you some time I can verify the row pad does not fit a Titan T3 rack unless you are going to drill the hole on the attachment to match the spacing on the rack.
If you squint with the sum at 43.8 degrees through a Nikon CoolPix 4600 towards those elusive roller tracks, does it become clear that the earth is flat? Asking for a friend.
I know I'm not alone in saying this but I'd be very curious about the fitment of the sliding lever arms on a Titan T3 rack as they're not *exactly* the same "3x3" but Bells does say these would fit into 1 inch holes on their site so they should at least be able to fit well that way 🤔 if they were "truly universal" between all the 3x3 racks in my eyes there'd be literally no reason to get another set of lever arms from a cost to preformance ratio. Also, congrats on becoming a father!!!

Do you have the BoS lever arms on the hydra rack? Im looking to put them on my Titan X3 and want to know how well they fucntion and if they are a pain to adjust. Let me know your thoughts!
I bought the rogue lever arms, I’ve had them for over 6 months now and I can sincerely say they are the worst home gym investment I made, super heavy to set up, and unlike other “ cheaper” brands you can adjust or hold them in place without spending even more, I had to buy the spotter arms to hold them in place but it’s just tedious, having to be adjusting both to have the proper placement for your workout, for those looking into lever arms if they don’t have adjustment holes I don’t recommend them, they are trash, stick to old school weight lifting, barbels and dumbbells can’t go wrong with either
I'm going to give you the same advice about babies that I give everybody. Relax, this is the easy part. Start worrying when they begin walking and talking.
What is your favorite rack attachment (on any rack, not just the Hydra)
Roller jcups
Massenomics drink spotter ;) ok, for a more serious answer I'd say a lat pulldown/ low row attachment

Will the Hydra Lever Arms fit a Rep Fitness PR4000 rack ? Will there be a lot of side to side wobble if the do fit ?

Since you have both a rep fitness rack and hydra rack, can you check the compatibility of the hydra lever arms on the rep rack?
He has 1 inch Rep (5000) and 5/8 inch BOS (Hydra), so they are not compatible. Rep’s PR-4000 is 5/8 inches.
Correct. The seal row pad is going to my buddy who has a PR 4000 but he's not getting all this stuff. He's spoiled enough 😂

Where did you get the bells of steel lever arms to be adjustable with the pin?
Will the 72inch Lat pull-down attachment work with my HR-2 half rack attachment? The height of those uprights come out to 72 inches. It’s monster lite.
I have the same question. Might make things a bit crowded back there, but it’d be nice to have an option without upgrading the rear uprights to 90”.
Would the seal row attachment fit easily on a Rep PR 4000?
It should. At worse it'll be a little lose but you can always shim the UHMW with tape if that happens. I'm actually giving my seal row pad to my buddy who has a PR-4000.
