- "I carry Rest within me,
I bear within myself
Forces giving me strength.
Full will I fill myself
With the warmth of these forces,
I will permeate myself
With the power of my will.
And I will feel
How Rest outpours itself
Through all my being,
If I strengthen myself
To come upon Rest
As a force within me
Through this my striving's power."

Well from a70 year old, I am amazed to here this type of music. I've been sitting around for many years wishing for the 1970s to come back. Never forgiven them for leaving. Hey!!!! I'm in my element listening to this!!!
Did u go to the free festival s
I used to hear music like this in my head back in the early 70s, but nobody was coming close to playing it. Later in my life I found them on RUclips, and I don't know why I never heard of them back in the late 70s or even the 80-90s, it wasn't until after 2010 that I heard them for the first time on RUclips Red, and I was hooked. I love it all, and that's rare for any band to satisfy my taste on every song. Awesome band and I hope that they aren't done making new music because I'm not done listening to every bit of it that can find on RUclips.
@@waynesilverman3048 not Ozric Tentacles.

You have been listenning in all the wrong places my son :-)
Ozr8c Tentacles is the sound of the 1990s for me. Jurassic Shift changed my entire musical landscape. Long live 1995.
simply the best psychadelic band in the universe, ever.
Ever listen to Papadosio?
As well as Gong of course!
@@Dudleymiddleton hmmm, not sure about that. They never gripped me like ozric. But I'm sure for you and many others that may be the case. That's the joy of music.

From the viewpoint of a musician, there are so many things going on here that are absolutely genius. This is mind boggling. It's as if someone searched the world over to find and assemble a stage full of musical prodigies and the result is what psilocybin mushrooms would sound like if they could make music. Amazing band.
I just discovered this band on a list of "15 psychedelic albums you must listen to". I love this band! It turns out Roger Waters son, Harry Waters, played keyboards with Ozric Tentacles back in 2004. 😊
Cool, Thanks for the "The more you know " moment! Love those little connections
How can you not like this i,m 65 and grew up with hawkwind and man
A man with taste!peace brother!
Great selection. Definitely some Tangerine Dream influence. And in some spots his guitar some definitely Pink Floyd David Gilmour Style influencer. Awesome music
only 54y, but same here ;-) potheads ago
30 and have been listening to these guys since I was in high school. Lucky to have a dad and a lot of friends who likes good music.
Yep, nearly 68 here and just love this music. Steve Hillage, Gong, Hawkwind and Krautrock in general was my diet back in the day. Nectar for the soul 😊
When it all comes down to it, Ozric is the best.

The best! The prophet's without words xx

I'm flying I'm flying into universe. Thank you for this piece of elevation
Exquisite Ozric and audibly superb Tentacles!
Ozrics music is DOPE like no other. All troubles melt away listening to it.
This type of music transports you to another realm of existence, where there is nothing other than feel good vibes.
One of the Greatest Groups EVER! Bought all the albums (I think). Jurassic Shift is the one that started me to investigate this group decades ago. Late one night on college radio, there it was and I was hooked!
One of my favourite bands , alongside Hawkwind and Gong
me to
early mid 80's free festivals and winter gigs at the crypt in Deptford , there was a thriving squat scene in south london that they were part of , happy daze !
I used to see this band at the Crypt in London long ago,a fantastic time
Me too, Deptford. Remember it well,
First heard of Ozric Tentacles back in England 15 years ago. I'm 50 now and still listening to them. Got most of their albums. It's my favorite band!
Top quality. I travel in my mind when I listen to the Ozrics. Cheers for posting this.
I discovered this band yesterday and now I can't stop listening. they're simply wonderful
There is nothing better to drive to. Driving down from Lyon to cordoba spain through the night. All I can say is.
BLOODY MARVELLOUS. NOTHING COMPLETES MY DAY LIKE A DOSE OF OZRIC'S.🕉☯️🕉☯️👍
Have a good way....I got this old magic cornflakes'box....so happy to find it here on the tube
What an amazing keyboard player. The way he shreds lead solo's is amazing.
Ed Dwynne is a really fantastic guitarist, one of the best
Shamans when they play music. Wonderful! Thank!
I'm always astonished at how well recorded the sound of each instrument is on Ozric tracks. Things like the ride cymbal at 14:51 sound amazingly real on a good hifi.
I love ride cymbals. Good call. That one sounds like it might have those loose rivets in it. A bit china type.
Ed does the mixing
Merv's drums are amazing whilst he was with them especially Eternal Wheel, Dance of the loomi and Erpland!!
@@mattjammy9884 Kind of loved when Generator John joined them briefly. I miss Seaweed's influence too. And I will ALWAYS, ALWAYS miss Roly's bass. (And the rest of him! RIP, my friend)
So true
Jean-Michel Jarre meets Brand X.. amazing s*** Mr Ed!..keep it up👍👍🤟
The best band of the universe ozric in my soul forever!
Man, these guys found the groove line!
20:50 -> Dance Of The Loomi off Arboressence - A fav!
Music for the mind. Been jamming to Ozric since the late nineties. Love ‘em.
Since many have shared their age, I'll throw in mine, 63, and I used to hear music like this in my head back in the early 70s, but nobody was coming close to playing it. Later in my life I found them on RUclips, and I don't know why I never heard of them back in the late 70s or even the 80-90s, it wasn't until after 2010 that I heard them for the first time on RUclips Red, and I was hooked. I agree. I found Ozric Tentacles just a few months ago. Love this type of music! Great stuff! Wish I had found them years earlier and got to see them live.
5-4 here. 1 year since finding them.
@@johncoviello8570 I actually love to play it through the night while I sleep. It's great to drift off to, and it helps to block out background noises that might otherwise awaken me.
@@ElevenBravo I think that it's running on four for me. Still wasted a lot of years worth of concert potential.
almost 62 here - my brother introduced me ) to OT and Tool (he's ten years younger - probably around '98 I guess
Just FYI, in between Dance of the Loomi and A Gift of Wings is the track Oakum, which I believe is on Spirals in Hyperspace. Great mix!
Pretty unique band. Simply awesome !
There seems to be room for each instrument to be heard! Impeccably played, and masterfully engineered. They are just quality! I met them a few years ago, and we exchanged some experiences. They are the best!
Can't stop listening to this sounds so good the more I listen to the more it gets even better Thank you for this keep it up
You first time on Ozrics :)
@@mattjammy9884 no been in to ozric tentacles since 1986 and I will always play there music every day.
@Matt Jammy No that's weird that I've been in the ozrics 1986 as well and I listen to ozric tentacles every day as well. I've got all there albums
@Matt Jammy That's weird that I've been in to ozric tentacles since 1986 as well i don't think I have listened to them ever day but its probably five times a week. I very got all there albums
Absolutely brilliant. Been aware of Ozrics my whole life but never ever taken the time to actually listen to them until today, and I'm 63 hahahahaha
First time hearing this band. I definitely dig it. Reminds me somewhat of Gandalf.
I can't point a single boring track on Arborescence. I got this album in 1996 because I heard White Rhino Tea on a brazilian FM station (I like sevens).
I had the honor of being part of a secret society Kraut/Prog/Art Rock fans in Niterói - Brazil ... called Zeit Discos :) ... and got to know Strangeitude in early 90s and that followed my camping crazyness with friends at "Barra do Sana" with all sorts of original psychedelia which was an important period of my understanding into what the hell am I doing here... FANTASTIC sounds and images :) !!!
Was having a CARTER USM hour and then remembered these guys......glad I did, still amazing!!!
Glad to hear a mention of Carter USM, absolutely brilliant band, genius lyrics and music. So seemingly unheard of, unremembered and underrated.
This Sounds MAGIC !!! got nearly all there tracks on cd and tape.im that old 56 this year. listening to lots of Ozrics on here. Great to see all ages digging it 🏴🎧😎
Me and my friend are the only two Scot’s blasting this from our generation. 17 years old and exploring the unknown to these amazing sound scapes!
So feel good music. Sublime guitar work and hypnotic arpeggios and riffs. You can't get much better than this.
Shpongle 🤗
Have seen these wonderful people a few times, but too many years have passed since as they seem do do fewer shows these days - also sad to miss the Camden show the other week.
Sum proper smoky memories much love 🤗😘💨💨
Such an underrated bass player...
Well done! You compiled the best compositions out of 5 albums! Great work!
I bought that pieces in K7, then I bought the vitamines' box. It becomes an antiquity !!!
Do you know which songs are included?
Check out the track "Chewier" remixed by Eat Static... awesomeness
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it!! Rock on!!!
More Ozric's @432Hz PLEASE :) Love this conversion
This is truly sublime.
7:00 just mind blowing
Thank you for this the sound is amazing long live the ozrics
Awesome extended cosmic intrepid interlude !
I've been watching them live just few days ago and, if I get it right, it was the good bye tour. Anyway, great event and spectacular music and video experience. ❤❤❤
"UBIK SAYS LISTEN TO SOME OZRIC TENTACLES NOW" - legendary line from the high score table from the computer game Thrust II in 1988. Dave was so right!
Great stuff. Tangerine Dream influence here. Awesome
this is so great, Thanks 4 this Upload
Damn, most excellent. Eargasm on so many levels. Perfection ♾
Outstanding thank you
I am Pure Consciousness, which is infinite and eternal, experiencing life in a temporary human form. 😎
Never heard. Kickass songs; dig it a lot! Reminds a lot of Hawkwind - prog, space and psychedelic rock.
You've got some catch up to do then .. Also, check out Gong you may like them even more !
This is just awesome
very very good all..............................................................................................................................................................................................................
This mix is perfect😊
Good choices.......well done mate.
God I love this band. Only found them a couple of years ago thanks to a friend.
je m en fous j ai tout les cd ils sont vraiment géniaux très d actualités pour une Energie hors du commun on en a temps besoin merci Mrs et Mme au plaisir de vous écouter sans modération
Great sounds
This next big chunk : 35:07ish , reminds me of Sven Vahth , I don't remember how his surname is spelt - but it's called "An accident in paradise" ~ and it's very relevant to this....
Great picks!
Swirly 🎵〰️🎶
I was under the stage 🤘😁🎸 great Man Vincent 💪
Awesome.
If you like this, check out their mellower, more ambient side project, NODENS ICTUS
There playing in Exeter on Thursday. I used to live there. So a double wammy for me. I cannot wait.
Although I'm very young and this music is from ancient times, I love it! Eben if it's music for old people, I like old music like that bc it's ... dunno, it's like looking in a very old computer game
Good taste never gets old
Music is not limited by, or to, the age of the listener, if you like it listen to it. It is music for People, not old People ;)
If you want very old computer game music check out Jean Michel Jarre - Captain Blood, or Federation of Free Traders.
@@caputmortis2248 Aha
thanks for the vitamins, they are amazing
I witnessed them at 328 performance hall in Nashville TN. In 97
Superb ♥
Brilliant
A brother of mine introduced me to ozric tentacles i must say yep

Só good 👌
Awesome choice for a mix to work to... I"ve been a fan since 92!! have all the albums have you heard the new Ed solo album with Gre Vanderloo? OUTSTANDING🥰🥰
Great music, psychodelic, spiritual and emotional!
In Germany there was a quiet interesting movement of good old psychodelic music (70s, 80s) - Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Ashra Tempel, Manuel Göttsching and many artists from the Theatron en Munich... I am missing good psychodelic music, even if my spanish wife escapes when I put it (a bit louder) in my music equipment...
Ed Wynne a is true genius.
enjoy the trip
DIVINE
Ozrics are so prolific too, this is just 12 tracks, but that Vitamin Enhanced boxset alone is I think 6 albums
you nailed the mix mate...Well done
Thanks
I love Ozric Tentacles! Great music. Very creative and powerful! I just wish I discovered them years ago and caught them live. Must be an incredible band live. Did they ever tour the U.S.?
Yep. Saw them in the D in 2000 or so. Someone took Jon's flute at the end of the show and boy did he get pissed. I think it was returned. Then in Chicago in 2007 or 8 or 9. Small place. Different lineup. Ed's (ex) wife on bass. Son on keys. Fantastic show.
@@thepedalpress Google them, they are putting on a few shows around the UK this year, although its just Ed and his Son under the 'Electronic' label. We saw them in York last month and will be seeing them again in Manchester in February. Shame its not the full line up, but brill atmosphere all the same
Yeah I heard them for the first time at the AllGood Festival in 2004. Blew my mind! I've seen them a couple times in Virginia as well
Waaaaaay Underated.......
May I add that I discovered Ozric in 91-2 and am still blown away with their stuff now and I'm 62 just a number man!
late 80s for me, from a 67 y.o.
I saw the Ozrics in 1983 in a squat do a gig.... I was 17....
Super more awesomer! :_

You have to do more ozrics in 432hz please
starting at 4:36 so reminds me of Tangerine Dream on the "Legend" Soundtrack
Spaceout is awsome
like this band reminds me of disco bisquiets
...it is 1993; I am back at Uni, five pints of snakebite and black, purple OM dropped with a Henry of fluffy Lebanese in my pocket for later (allegedly)..
Snake bite and black was a 'Purple nasty' I believe. I also remember the purples OMs and the Leb. Good times...
FEELING THAT ! WHAT WERE THE SKIE'S LIKE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG ?
Um, the sunsets were purple and red and yellow and on fire, and the clouds would catch the colours everywhere. That's uh, neat 'cause I used to look at them all the time, when I was little. You don't see that. You might still see them in the desert."
That's the good though inferior Orb, Little Fluffy Clouds.
