Soooo genuine! You're dropping truth and introspection in this one! I love it because these are the same circles I run in my head all day, every day, so it's refreshing hearing someone else doing this "thinking out loud" type of discussion

Adding the judgement part of the conversation, I think there’s a difference between judgement and condemnation… we all judge to survive and to decide who we want to become. I think its more important to be more aware of when you’re condemning someone else for doing something you don’t agree with verses just judging and deciding maybe you don’t agree with that thing.

THANK YOU for this❤️ we can be so hard both with ourselves and others when it comes to judgement!
I think sometimes we just need to relax and be human. Let ourselves be human. Love this quote from a woman here in sweden ”Embrace your own mediocrity” to let go of the pressure to do more, be more and always evolving.

Id just like to say I really appreciate that you talk about political and social issues so much. I’m Canadian, and all I can think about lately is what’s been going on politically in our country and I also have almost no one to talk to about it with. At least no one who really sees eye to eye with me. Its not that I’m even fully sure what I believe and think and I do that whole flip-flop thing all the time as well. Which is why I love seeing you work through all these issues. It really makes me feel less alone and it feels like I have a friend to talk about these things with. Sending love from a fellow Canadian girl❤️🤍

We often forget, that not everything is black and white and we, humans, are not for sure. And when you make a mistake, it is not an end of the word, it's just another step.
But we don't have to tell this to ourselves ocasionally, but know it with our core. Just like haw we know that it's ok how baby explores the world.

Love this video Kalyn💕✨ thank you for being so open and vulnerable and RELATABLE. When you were talking about how often the world changes it reminded me of this verse that says, “do not conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” And that’s come to my mind a lot recently because as I’m starting to dive into making a channel again, it’s overwhelmed me for a multitude of reasons. A few of them being, what if I mess up, what if I’m too much, what if I offend someone, how much do I keep private and how much do I share. But that verse has reminded me that yes, the world is always changing but as long as we are willing to grow and learn, to be patient and gracious with ourselves and others then that’s all that really matters, right?
On a side note - thank you for reminding me I’m not the only one who gets anxious while filming. I’m so proud of you for pushing through it 💪🏻 ♥️

Kalyn, I love how you have changed over the years; you have truly blossomed. You are a philosophical person and my type of girl❤️‍🔥 I think a lot like you do and it’s amazing to see another deep thinker sharing their brain with the world. I have the same kind of thought process where I can easily see both sides of a situation and sometimes it confuses the crap out of me because I have trouble accepting that two or more things can be true at once. Hope this makes sense. I just wanted to tell you that I love these deep and honest chats ❣️🥰

Using our good judgement to navigate life is vastly different from binge judgemental. They both start with "judge" but do not mean the same thing. At all. The first: having good judgement keeps us alive, protect us from harm and keep unbalanced and dangerous people out of our private sphere. Being judgemental is an attitude to people around you that is very negative: always so ready to see their flaws and mistakes and making sport out of pointing them out. So different. Good judgement shows a real and healthy self respect. A need dot to please everyone and a realistic view on the world that even if you are a good and balanced person with good intentions this is not the case for everyone you meet. You have to use judgment to protect yourself. Listen to that gut feeling. I have had many relationships in my past that where bad because I didn't listen to my good judgement ❤️❤️

If you're interested in human evolution and how it relates to our modern lives, then you may want to read The Story of the Human Body. It's written by a Harvard evolutionary biologist and he spends a lot of time talking about our evolutionary history and how our bodies are maladapted for modern life.

Society has always been quite toxic from my experience and understanding.
Sure we have progressed a lot since the medieval times but even in present modern times there's a lot that could be worked upon.
First of all the idea of a human being who often times can go through much struggle and trauma to be perfect is ridiculous.
Second of all just because you're not perfect doesn't mean you aren't a good or perhaps very loving person which we should value more.
And last but not least we need the authenticity, depth and vulnerability to create real bonds and meaning in life.
Everybody seems so shallow and caring only about superficial stuff or is too focused with themselves or busy with achieving goals and
people appear cold, detached and insensitive to others..
So as an hsp it's been hurting me for a long time especially because I feel and notice a lot but it's hard to talk about these things openly
(which I think it shouldn't because I honestly feel like our humanity is at stake here).
I sense a need for much collective healing and love, hopefully we can reconnect in better ways with those we love and care about us too
without the one sidedness or projecting our pain or sense of lack on other people even if unconsciously we just don't want to continue these
cycles and cause more pain at least not any good person with empathy would want that.
I know this is a long message but I need to share these thoughts too. I've struggled with a lot of things and have been strong even if on my own at times
but at some point I couldn't help but make a mistake of saying something I shouldn't have said although I wasn't aware how bad it was
affecting others whether it was real or not I can't tell because it happened online but most people are capable of growing and learning from
their mistakes even if painful and perhaps with help sure but canceling well intentioned but imperfect people forever without forgiveness
to me has showed to be really terrible and it doesn't feel like anything gets resolved. On the other hand if let's say we're dealing
with extreme criminals and psychopaths who commit horrible crimes etc then of course justice is needed but sadly
even that department is lacking nowadays and I hope we will improve and learn from all this.

I also think about things from too many angles and try to find all sides in an argument, it's just been me my whole life, until that "argument/action" hurts unsuspecting people. That is typically my line. An ye harm none, do what ye will.

What you talk about truly is a difficult topic to grasp for yourself.
I do think cancel culture is a bad example though, because cancelling isn't accountability, it's online harrassment and unhealthily channeled anger based on overly rigid boundaries that people have as a group or generation. Especially on twitter you'll be able to see early20girls never state their morals but attack and harrass others that went half a meter outside of their unstated boundaries that they assume anyone like them has. I spent extended amounts of time psychologically taking apart this behavior since I have friends that are harrassed to this day for a sentence or post they dropped months before that was taken out of context.
I think when someone is repeatedly doing bad things, accountability is necessary but the way people define accountability online and sometimes offline now too, is incredibly vile and anti-growth.
Judgment is totally normal, it's when you channel it unhealthily and as if you are the executive part of a justice system, when it gets bad on a psychological level. Playing cops on each other online is pretty much just online vigilantism.
Now, general judgment, like you said, can be handled with non-attachment and compassion very well. It's basically the place that the idea of modern abolitionism (in regards to imprisonment/criminality) comes from. The believe that anyone can grow in the right environment. Idk, I have so many thoughts on this and all my analogies fit into how our system currently works, so it's hard to explain that without it.
This video definitely made me think more about my personal definitions of things like accountability.
Also, you mention anxiety as an epidemic. I think there are so many factors. A lot of issues compounded generationally. Then we have a fast paced world due to capitalism and a dying planet due to...capitalism. Combine that with attachment wounds and childhood trauma as well as an easier way to diagnose it and tadaaa you get an anxious mob lol. I think the issue isn't fully adapting, I think it's the fact that we grew up in a system ignoring mental health entirely and now we're trying to grasp for stuff grounding us. I say this as someone that had six years of anxiety healed with one professional hypnosis session. Tools like that as well as psychoeducation and grounding aren't given where they should be given. And let me not start with the fact that we live indivuality based while mental health needs community based living. Such a layered issue, I think this feeling of catching up is such a small part of it. But all of it is so based in being defined by our productivity and work.
Amen on admitting when you're wrong. I feel many haven't learned this in life and it's starting to show in our society.

ahhh a fellow deep thinker ♥️ this was so saturated in honest processing and open opinion; it was lovely to read. Thank you for responding to my chat with so much depth. You've now given my more to think about in terms of my own definitions of accountability and the reasons the world has become so anxious. And I agree with you whole-heartedly about your thoughts on judgment and playing cops to one another as if we don't make mistakes ourselves. Or taking things out of context to paint it another way after the passage of time.

We equate thinking something wrong with being, as a person wrong. Then I guess you either shrink or go into defence mode - and that's how we don't change. We get so stuck in binary thinking - people either have to be Good or Bad and that filters down into wrong or right. Living in the grey is hard and complicated and messy but I think you're right that that's probably where the progress lies.

Don’t take life too seriously- judge but be open to judgement of you too, be accountable for mistakes made, cancel culture is toxic; it’s also useful to canceling REALLY deserving people to be muted, on the greater scale of bad deeds done. But, if someone has done things wrong, owns it and fixes it, then no, cancel culture isn’t applied there- but honestly, don’t even think about anybody else’s life if it does affect your world. Idk, sorry for my tangent reply ✨
