If you have a laminator, you can make free bookmarks with leftover gift wrap scraps. And, you can jazz them up with tassels made from leftover yarn, string, or jute.

There are just something thing I refuse to pay $3 and $5 dollars when the $1.25 is just as good. My list is growing I just have to get my butt to my dollar tree. I love the vitamin c drops by halls. My kids love sunny D my store hasn't gotten that or if they did it goes fast. Every now and again you can find the magnetic ones or the inspiration ones with a little tassel. Just pay attention in the teacher section and school section that's where I have found mine
Dollar tree has bookmarks called paw markers 4 pictures of kittens they peel off and stick on the pages, they do not tear your book pages. I have been looking for other ones. I believe I found those in stationary, office supplies. I have really enjoyed mine. And you get tons of them. I haven't seen any one haul them.

No need for a laminator.
I use wood paint sticks for making book marks. Use scissors to cut them, paint them, use stencils, sticks, modge podge pretty napkin print, use hole punch and add ribbins etc.s

Dollar tree does take coupons but, in my experience, it's difficult. It won't come off at first so they call a manager, the manager does the same thing and it still doesn't work, then they read it out loud, scan again, look at the item, scan again, then reluctantly key it in.

handy people can make their own stuff. some can't so they buy handmade. I'm a handmade peroson it comes to me as easy as sneezing.
I use a store receipt as my bookmark. Cheap and always available after shopping at Dollar Tree.

Hey Tamara, great walkthrough as always. A bookmark idea… the baby headbands.. that are a full lacey elastic headband. Goes around the page and front of book. The outdoor signs are nice but I’ve had an issue with them when they get wet on the porch. They bow once they get wet. Best if they are kept where no rain or anything could reach them. We haven’t gotten the fruit themed summer yet. Hopefully soon. That’s the thing with DT, if you see something you have to grab it OR it may be gone. Especially the items that go viral. They are HOT!! The Ego brand is eco friendly. The Yardley wipes are fantastic for a quick clean, especially after a workout and have a very nice scent.

Oh yeah why don't you get some card stock it's thick enough to last a while and you could make a ton of bookmarks and decorate them with stickers or write Tamara 's book or whatever you want but that would be cute and inexpensive...
