Disgusting that there are 3 advert breaks in the middle of this concert!

Let me tell you, this a magnificent performance of an outstanding symphony. It's funny, but I can never get enough of Shostakovich's music. To me it's so sad that he always had to be afraid of what the Russian government, (especially Stalin), would think of his music. Afraid that they might be put him in jail for something he composed. How sad is that. Nevertheless he still composed brilliant music. The man was truly a genius. Thank you so much for uploading this outstanding performance. I have enjoyed this immensely.
