  • The Windy Fire in 2021 burned more than 97,000 acres in the Sequoia National Forest and the Tule River Reservation in California. It killed numerous giant sequoia trees which can live for up to 3,000 years. Mike McMillan of SpotFireImages.com shot this video as the fire was burning.

    This was one of my favorite places I visited in California. So sad to see those big trees burn. Some of those trees are a thousand years old or more. 😔
