Well, in the original game, this was fully implemented. They even have unique M and L smoke signals that detailed which of the bros the choomba was targeting. However, this was not normally seen because its impossible to head into the caves as the bros. So it makes sense why its buggy in the remake. The fact that choombas have fully functional and unique behavior fighting the bros suggest that the layout of the caves was different at some point in development, and was possible for the bros to head into the caves.
Yeah. At least in the OG they even pull out their hammers to counter attack as well. But here they just let themselves get hit. Wonder if it's because this time around they know the bros would never be able to fight choombas and so didn't bother doing anything with them for the bros. Since on the original they were still thinking of what enemies the bros would fight in the overworld. Maybe at some point the bros would of fought these guys normally due to them having M and L smoke signals. But who really knows
@@quotebalrogThats most likely it, yeah. I wouldn't see a reason to reuse code that never got used in the first place in the original release if I were designing a remake.
@@lazyskelebro101 Yes the indicator is there but you won't be able to dodge their attacks at all. The game won't let you. The bros don't even take out their hammers or even block the attack at all. Heck they won't even pick eachother up if the Coalbits don't attack first as seen in the video
@@arevat78 there are plenty of big foes that the bros face in normal combat. they're able to jump over them just fine. i already got the rundown that the buttons won't work
Wait. The charging attack was unused in the original (I think the whole interaction was finished but cut at some point during development), so they kinda replicated the whole thing but less functional?
Imagine if they knew someone would do this so if it ever happened you could actually counterattack with the bros

Oh cool
What’s funny too, is in the og, there was Choomba attacks to the Bros that went unused
I like how Mario n Luigi treats it as bosses for them but for Bowser, it’s just a normal enemy.
I still really wonder what fighting against mario and luigi as bowser would be like
Even the original version apparently had some vague coding for Mario and Luigi in the form of special smoke signals, but not this version, I guess?

@@quotebalrogit’s thought the layout of the caves used to be different and that it was going to be possible for them to encounter them there
The fact that it’s still possible to edit the game to fight him in the remake is impressive
You couldn’t even jump when he was charging at you
The way Bowser’s normal enemies are designed and upsized to be like bosses for the Bros. really goes to show the thought put into this game.
This is more of a boss than an enemy fight
This is why Bowser fights these things regularly
I wish someone made a mod where you could enter any battle as amy character
Cool idea

guys. you're able to dodge his attack. look at the top right corner of the screen. the smoke indicator is right there

i could have sworn you could get the bros to the caves through the underground toad town entrance late game
Hardest boss in the game
That's a common enemy in that area , that whole place is hell
@@hypernova4657no, it's a boss, chumbas are known for being real threatening to the Mario bros.
Can you try to fight real world enemies with dreamy Luigi in dream team, maybe even putting him in the real world

The EXP they gained 💀
The fact that it attacks both brothers has got to mean something, right? Considering the fact the game gives Bowser Luigi dodge patterns.
It is just me or they have more health in the remake? Im just not sure if they have this much health or is just because they're a Bowser enemy.
What? They just replaced the action icons with what he would do? Why?!
We like trains
Why do they nerf the strength in the 3ds remakes cuz
A 20 minutes fight for the flag barely rising...
Damn. It broke compared to the ds version.
That is actually possible without hacks, even in the original.
