Despite Gilbert's persistent prodding, he just couldn't get Marty to say anything dirty on this podcast. Good for Marty! Apparently, he had told Gilbert, in confidence over the phone, some of the kinds of jokes Gilbert preferred, but wouldn't reveal them publicly. Marty had such a high regard for his fans and any ladies or kids who might have been listening, that he made sure to keep his answers clean, just like his shows were. Such a kind, classy guy! And Gilbert, you knew better! And, every time Marty spoke about someone, he always had something nice to say about them. I don't recall ever hearing him say anything negative or derogatory about anyone. He was struggling a bit, here, trying to find his words (at age 90+), but wonderful things still came out of his mouth. What a joy it has been to listen to this!
