    A tiny bit about myself:
    Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my RUclips channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

    Did you let the base (white) paint dry before adding the color? It looked like you painted immediately after coating the bottle.

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  Месяц назад +1

      I poured the paint immediately after placing the white base without letting it dry. Doing this helps the paint spread evenly. 🤗🙏🏼

      Matte white acrylic paint with a little bit of water to make it the right pouring consistency. I always leave everything I used in the description box of every video. Thank you 🙏🏽❤️

    La pintura que se vierte primero, es acrílica Blanca? Y cuando secan las botellas de deben hornear para fijar la pintura?

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  Год назад +3

      Sí, es pintura acrílica mate blanca. Y no. No hay necesidad de hornearlos. Simplemente séllelos con brillo Mod Podge. Pronto pondré un video completo y detallado explicando todo lo que he aprendido.🙏❤

    Can chalked paint (not chalk paint) be used as a primer in glass?

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  Месяц назад +1

      I've never tried it, but the idea for this technique is to use paint that doesn't dry out quickly.

    Hi sweetheart I can't remember if you have covered this question before. But how do you keep the acrylic from peeling off. I'm trying to upcycle some jars to use for candles making, however I think I must be missing some steps to stop the paint from coming off. Hope you can share your secret regarding this 😊 hope you are feeling better 😃 sending much love and blessings your way.🙏🌻🐈🇬🇧

      Hello, beautiful sister!! Did you paint pour? If you did. You can seal them after they dry with a layer of Mod Podge. I wonder if the heat from the hot wax will cause the paint to peel? Humm. 🤔 It brings me joy to hear you're crafting again!! Yay!! God is good! And thank you, dear!! I'm doing well, thanks to God. I just need to learn to relax and take it easy. 😅

      I used to have a problem with paint peeling off of my glass bottles and jars. I would put down a base coat and when it dried and I put a second coat and it would actually peel off the first coat. There were two ways that I tackled this. The first was to use spray paint as base coat and then when it was dried I used my regular acrylic as my second coat or if I was using acrylic as a base coat I would let it dry and I would spray it with matte sealer not gloss but Matte and then after that dried you can put on your second coat with acrylic and it won't pull pull the paint off.
      Hope this helps

    I missed this video as per usual I've been missing a lot of videos. I don't know why my Hotmail account or Outlook won't take any Gmail's but I'm missing all of your announcements. Hopefully when I move into my apartment sometime at the end of September or the beginning of October I can get back to a regular schedule of seeing your videos when they drop if I know which days you drop them. Right now Autumn is approaching and I'm not in a space where I can do any crafting and I miss my Autumn crafting. And I still want to try paint pouring.
    I seen the arteza paints and thought they looked so bold but at the time they were a little pricey for me so I never tried them but they're very pretty.
