I find it hard to name any other Scottish 'political leader' who has done more harm than Sturgeon. The economy, once thriving better than England's only ten years ago, is dire, the education system, once rated as the best in UK, is failing, roads and infrastructure is declining rapidly, and Scotland is now the drug death capital of the world. Also, I didn't hear her list her achievements during her resignation speech which 'all' politicians spout. Excessive? Maybe not so much.

She was progressive in trans rights but she was regressive in women and children's safety and basic human rights. Proper debate or consultation was never done and therefore biological women were never able to rightfully address their concerns around safety. I think the snp never served the majority of the Scottish population or respected their views and instead they were tarnished with misogynistic names like "TURF" or "Karen". Even during the women's rights protest you saw a trans individual physical assault a women right in front of the police and nothing was done. This is sickening. More biological women die at the hands of biological men in this country than biological men dying at hands of biological women. That's a fact and women safety MUST NOT be compromised.
Although far more men die at the hands of biological men, than women do. So which is actually the bigger issue? Does a womans life matter more?

I’m not being mean, but every time bev says Katie, I am looking for another woman there. What happened to the good old days, there were men, women and if there were trans they actually dressed and wanted to be of the opposite sex, not just people who decide they are the opposite sex but do nothing to make that outwardly apparent to others.

Which particular stereotypical gender markers do you want me to adopt? I did 14yrs hormones, 7yrs since bottom surgery but now comfortable as a person not trying to be any gender. Hence I don't change my voice, do makeup etc as I'm not trying to pass or perform gender just exist as an individual not a gender clone. Katy was actually my birth name alongside Jon during an initial ambiguous observed gender at birth so as an adult I've claimed both names. I like the good new days where everyone employs freedom of expression to be themselves, I'm quite comfortable to be seen as trans rather than male or female.
@@KatyJonWent freedom of expression is fine, and I have no problem with that at all….but when it comes to a person being harshly labelled TERF/transphobic or some other slur for “misgendering” something which didn’t even exist up until a few short years ago, then it’s not something I want to play a part in. I am, of course, not suggesting that you are doing this or have done this previously but it happens, a lot. And me as a normal, everyday person that means no harm to anyone and hasn’t harmed anyone, without changing my actions, end up being classed in with racists or sexists, by being the dane person I’ve always been. If I glance at someone and my brain (not the conscious part) perceives a male then that’s how I think of them, I don’t take time to study all the features etc to be 100% sure I am correct, as I’d never expect someone else to do that when it comes to me. This is just a simple way to exist in a society that has a huge number of people within it, never had it caused any deep offence or “phobia” before, but over the last few years the entire paradigm has shifted, and without knowing it, millions of people may have become something akin to racists without changing a single action. Again I stress that I’m not saying you are doing this or perpetuating it, I am just voicing my frustration with the complexities of identity, where it used to something that never got a second thought, now it might need deep conscious thought and sometimes vocal gymnastics.

I don't believe misgendering is transphobic when we are going on assumptions and gender markers before we know someone and their preferences. I don't take offence and have become accustomed to the joys and pitfalls of ambiguity. I completely understand how folk are being drawn into more xenophobic lumping-togethers by dint of just having made an innocent mistake and a human assumption around gender. Non trans people get misgendered too. Most laugh it off. I do as Trans too, but I understand that many other trans take it personally, because they feel "hurt" even when no hurt is intended and that shouldn't be put on you or wider society.
There is no paradox..... Sturgeon has caused her own problems and downfall. Her insistence on being in charge of everything and never listening to alternative viewpoints has contributed to her demise. There is no way anyone can blame the white patriarchy etc.

The girl guides existed so why close the boy scouts down and have them rebrand as scouting to allow girls in.
