- Annie & Mary by Bella Frankie is a tribute to The simple yet jovial daily rhythms of the Eden Sisters of the isolated Flinders Island in the Bass Strait. Bella Frankie recorded their album “Falling in the River” at Edens Cottage on Lutruwita country Tasmania in summer this year, and were inspired to honour the spirit of the sisters, who lived together in the cottage into their 90s.

I laughed and cried
That is something else, well done Michael and girls. And not to forget the fab song.
Fantastic, I'd love to know the original story behind this song. Get the jist from the lyrics and video but feel like I want to listen to the episode of Conversation Hour now! 😂
Hi Graeme, the video is about the Eden Sisters who lived on Flinders Island in the beautiful cottage you see in the film clip. They lived together into their 90s. We recorded our album in Edens Cottage, and could feel their presence, so the song Annie and Mary came to be. You can find out more about the sisters here...visitflindersisland.com.au/assets/html/mobile/m-palana.html
