That record at 1:36 sounds like "El Capitan march" played by most likely Charles P. Lowe, from 1896 or 1897.

Quite a few of the early 5 inchers featured Berliner himself singing.
In England the Berliner company were the first to record music hall songs for posterity and one 1890 recording is of Berliner singing a popular English Minstrel song.
Windyridge CDs have issued a compilation of all these early recordings and they are fascinating. Mostly cover versions though.
