    This was the same phonograph that inspired the logo with Nipper as the company's mascot for Victor, later became RCA.

      The original machine shown on Barraud's painting was a cylinder phonograph, but when the Gramophone Co purchased it, they asked him to replace it with a gramophone.

    I WOULD DIE OR KILL FOR ONE OF THESE! I Made a Gramophone when I was 15 Years Old! It Looks a lot like this! But under My nickname at the time "Roy Boy Talking Machine"! I will post it soon Playing! Is it Playing a Little Victory Record "Nobody`s Fault But Your Own"?

      I found that one thirty one years ago in a flea market in London England. They are not easy to find but do come around once a while. Search eBay and all phonograph auctions and be prepared to part with a lot of money for an original one. It is worth mentioning that there are some exact reproductions also.

    Which labels are safe to play on That?

      I would say any acoustic 78's of the right size.

      Unfortunately I do not have any Berliner's that are of a condition that would produce acceptable sound.

      LOL, well even brand new and with a brand new record they were not Hi Fidelity,
