I’ve found from my play through so far that Part Time employees are good for cleaners. You can have them work 2-3 hours each day your shop is open to keep it clean. Also if you press F1 it gives you a sort of guide that tells you how many hours an employee can work and what you need for each business and where to buy it from.
There never was a day 3. Both stores failed and he returned to his uncle a failed business man. Some say you can still see parts of the old stores signs on the buildings, if you look close.
He is not okay with working 48 hours. He wants part-time which is between 15 and 29 hours I think. Employees will be satisfied if all their requirements are in the green (when you hover their names on the schedule or click on them in the MyEmployees tab). Otherwise, as you've noticed, they will start to look elsewhere and then resign. By the way, young people are better. When you train your employees, it will take time and in the meantime they can't work. Maybe opening the gift shop longer will make it profitable? Also get some shelves and stock it. And yes, there should be speakers in the furniture store. PS: Remember that a year is in-game 60 days. There is another wholesaler where stuff are cheaper, you should go there, it's a drive-in.

Can you play this as you want? I mean I would have done much more with the first store and made it look nice, maybe trained the employees and such. Found out if I actually have to manually supply the stores, that wont work when you have multiple stores, it barely works with 2 stores.

I am so hooked on this game! Just purchased it. This seems like what the old game "Tycoon City : New York" from like 2006 should have been.
Omg, I love that game! It brings me back the memory of playing that and also Monopoly Tycoon from 2001.
I thought this was what the sims was going to be like when I first heard of the sims.
When they say no weekends you don't schedule them for the weekend they will be less proficient during that time

Until you get your own warehouse, buy your supply from the warehouse. The warehouse is cheaper than the wholesale store. :D
