In my opinion nothing is more beautiful than the dark wood against white linens - and olive) green and brown accents (think the Moana ).for some rooms - but that is what I grew up with so I am bias - so happy for you Ava ! (I am wondering if anyone on the Island does any custom wood furniture , that could be done to your measurements and taste - just a thought .......also because the house is big enough you may want to also look at wallpaper for an accent wall in one room - that could really be stunning too .....( love watching the videos !)

Don’t be afraid to mix metals, im slowly renovating our house and right now I have a lot of nickel but I added black curtain rods, black frames, black legs on furniture/lamp bases etc like little pops of black. It’s gonna be awesome just wait until you get everything in there and live in the space for a while then you’ll see what functions and things you guys gravitate towards. ❤❤❤

I keep seeing and hearing you talk about using green! Love it ! I think green with the wood keeps it natural and cozy with contrast using warm/cool tones. I love the green couch idea or paint an accent wall green and use a comfy brown leather couch, maybe add a slight zen feel with rattan pieces , just throwing around some ideas, I cannot wait to see how it looks !! I love these vlogs ! You guys have great style

Love you and this series Ava! I work in corporate for a faucet company and definitely recommend a single handle for your primary bathroom so you can easily adjust the temp when you’re washing your face. If u have a 3 hole you can get an escutcheon to cover the other holes.

You should get your blankets, pillows, and other home stuff like decor from Marshall’s and tjmaxx
Love this video and so excited for more home decorating videos!!! Matte black is so pretty for hardware but make sure you’re investing in pieces that have good durability and are more functional. My apartment hardware is so hard to keep clean and shows dirt and dust so easily because of the matte finish. If that doesn’t work for you I think looking into a different finish for kitchen and bathroom hardware is the way to go! Can’t wait to see what you do with your space ♥️

berkshire blankets are the softest throw blankets, i have so many and i love them!
The bedroom with the green accent wall would look so good with a lime wash!!!
One thing with leather bar stools is that they deteriorate very quickly if you sit on them a lot, if you don’t care for them. The leather cracks/splits so keep that maintenance in mind!!

feather pillows upgrade a couch--large ones, you can sink into them better than synthetic ones and they make nicer cozy shapes even when messy. feather lasts super long too. I would get someone to make you pillow covers! sewing stores often know people who make them and they aren't super pricey. Or even yourself, could be a fun thing to learn, it's super easy! just squares or rectangles. you can choose your own fabric and put zippers or fold them to make them washable. Bits of handmade things in your home always upgrades it.

When you do decide to swap out your faucets for the matt black, get them at a plumbing store, they have metal insides versus the plastic insides that are in the faucets at big box stores. They definitely go last longer and are worth the price difference.

Get forrest green pillows as your accent color if you love it! You can easily switch it out if you get tired of it and it‘s a nice touch of color in your home😍🌲
