The video for this tune is essential. Also the initial lyrics are wrong in one word, which happens to be THE word that was the whole point of the dynamic shift The Prodigy took, after their initial UK rave scene roots. It's not "f-ing instigator", but rather "Punkin' instigator." That one word is very important in context. But the fact I am even sat here watching Brad and Lex react to this tune in the first place, is simply just wonderful. Love from the UK.
Edit: Rest in peace, Keith Flint. one of the nicest people you would initially think was one to avoid.

i remember seeing the video when it was first ever shown on TOTPs when it was released. it scared me a little but so into it hugely. there was lots of complaints made as people thought keith was too weird and scary for early evening tv. the energy of the track and video was unreal. from that day i was a fan.i was about 10 years old then. i had a huge firestarter poster in my room and was lucky enough to see them in 2001 at leeds festival which is seen as a metal and rock festival but metalheads embraced them and loved them always.

The Prodigy is one of the very few bands who managed to cross genres to be as appreciated in the UK metal scene as they were in the UK dance scene. They were groundbreaking at the time, and their visual style definitely appealed to the rebellious metal and punk worlds. I **almost** saw them play at Donington rock festival in 2006, I say almost because we couldn't get anywhere near the stage they were on. They should have been on the main stage because there were thousands upon thousands of people trying to watch them. In the end we had to stand about 50 feet outside of the tent and just enjoy what we could hear. lol

Lex's reaction is absolutely golden! Prodigy came out of the UK rave scene where they met, hence the rave vibes but with a punk feel and a whole lot of breakbeat. I was lucky enough to see them at Glastonbury festival back in the 90's- bizarrely they were on in the afternoon, if I remember correctly!

I’ve seen Prodigy 4 times live in the UK. It is one of only a few gigs I’ve been to where I have been able to both hit the mosh pit and then move along to the rave area. You normally notice with their gigs that the fans of a few different music genres are in attendance. You can easily see a 90’s raver chatting with a punk rocker and a techno head whilst getting a beer 🍺 😁✌️.

In this episode of Brad & Lex, distorted riffs and upbeat drum programming oddly bring chuckles to Lex as she sends her "karate chop bops" next to Brad while he's seemingly interested but only presents his mildly interested expression during his couch rockin sidekick "bops" away.

You should check out their live performance at the Phoenix Festival in 96 - it happened in between their two biggest albums, Music for the Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land and it shows them burning at their absolute brightest. Now that's a rave!

That was a great performance, I was there. Was casually watching and listening from the back, right until Keith called for people up on stage dancing. Instantly I was charging forward, crowdsurfing to the front. The thought didn't occur until far too late that I really shouldn't have been crowdsurfing in a kilt. I'm sure whoever it was got a handful of my package was more upset than I was lol.
