I have a feeling that her family was one of the families murdered, during her childhood. She was supposed to die with her family but she didn’t . And so now during her investigation the murderer has been slowly perusing her .

Knew it! (Kinda) Heard that interview, then there’s the pose of him dangling his fingers like a puppeteer
1-Cage isn’t committing the murders; but is DEF influencing them through occult. Kinda a “Manson” type. This would kinda answer the long spans of time we see, & others killing but not really Cage
2-whether Cage is committing the murders or not; he turns the dead victims into some twisted “human puppet”
This would answer for the various bodies we see covered w/black sheets
& also explain the very 1st teaser-w/a father on phone w/police, terrified of his own daughter-saying “…it’s my daughter…..but, it’s not my daughter”
Cannot wait for this film. While this is just the highly probable method, I’m glad we don’t know much else (have ideas on how Maika’s character is directly tied to Cage somehow)
But hope this is the final trailer. Cause anymore…NOW they actually *might* give away too much-I’d rather be blind going into it
idk if it wasn’t obvious from the poster, but the killer def cut up two peoples legs to make ‘long legs’ which is already super fucking disturbing…i got the same vibe from the trailer that i got watching the house that Jack built and that’s the only movie to genuinely shake me where i was like feeling nauseous for a few days after and kept thinking about it…and this is just the trailer so i’m spooked

I don’t know if it seems like a diff pair of legs were cut off to make em longer-but maybe I missed something-as I said though, they def looked disproportionate)

@@RagnaRantz yeah you’re right about the shot it’s got the different colored pants and the long legs so i got from it that he is chopping them up and posing them in some way, and one of them (maybe the first one?) was him doing the legs thing…or maybe he does it to all of them? i think the house that Jack built is worth the watch, i didn’t even watch the unrated one but it is a very long movie (it’s technically a mini series but on streaming it plays as a movie) there is some stuff with kids that fucked me up but (spoiler i guess…idk if telling it even prepares u for seeing it) he performs taxidermy (like posing the body) on a dead person he killed and that’s the thing that upset me the most definitely ☠️ it’s also why i thought this movie sounds like the house that Jack built coz it’s got a similar vibe and they seem to pose/puppet bodies or whatever

Yeah I figured that was the shot u were talking about. The legs there are *def* disproportionate
The body covered by the black sheet/veil sitting on the couch-someone was able to jack up the brightness so you can see what the person looks like under that sheet
& oh my hell, yeah it’s pretty unsettling (w/out being “gore porn”-don’t really care for that kinda horror-just depends)
Even in this vid, when it gets to that part-if you really look closely, you can see her eyes.
But…uhh 4got title of vid. Type in like “true horror-Longlegs”-something like that (the thumbnail will be that body covered by the black sheet-w/“true horror” written in the thumbnail)
Not hard to find-anyway, if you take a look at that guy’s vid of that particular teaser-yeah it shows what the victim looks like (wasn’t sure if it was fake or not-but now, pretty sure it’s not)-& it’s pretty twisted looking, whoever this victim is.

That’s actually nic cage in the drivers seat. First shot is Mika driving and the second is Nicolas cage. People who have seen the movie said he looks completely unrecognizable. You can tell it’s him bc he’s wearing the same outfit he’s wearing at the store with girl cashier
If in some time, Lee is the one doing the killings influenced by the killer🤔

each other. Lee Harker has a personal connection to the killer, I'm guessing younger Lee is the cashier toward the beginning, you also see on IMBD that there is a Young Lee character. Wondering what the 4:3 aspect ratio'd shots mean? Me too. I think Lee is

see in almost every teaser. Maybe the
4:3 means it is a perspective shot. Like the veil shot and Daughter Camera living up the blanket which is a doll. While "LONGLEGS" is being spelled out, you see a millisecond of a creepy doll but it is the SAME EXACT SHOT OF THE VEIL. The Mother Camera axe clip is her staring AT THE DOLL and also seen shing shing ing it on a bed. BUT the nun? She is shown KAPOW'ing someone with a shOtgvn in a car SHOT NORMAL WIDESCREEN. But also seen crying in the car in 4:3. When I pause it at the very start of the crying clip
she looks like the "Do you say your
prayers" girl or she could be Longlegs
relative.The "Demon with 7 head and 10
horns" is shown in multiple shots. 1.
The girl sitting on the edge of the
bed. 2. The dark foggy forest shot. 3.
The library shot outside the window.

A a lawyer i find this story very interesting, because someone who imbues dolls with a demon, and whose effect causes others to murder themselves, cannot be held legally responsible in view of the current legal situation.

Longlegs trailer was giving me some serious Silence of the Lambs and Zodiac psychological horror/thriller vibes.
Maika's character totally seem very Clarice Starling vibes.

It was a phenomenal trailer for sure! I'm interested in watching this movie! Also have you seen "Arcadian" with Nicolas Cage?? That one was pretty good too!
So, the film opens up with the titular Longlengs driving up to meet a young girl, Lee Harker, in a snowy grounds outside of her isolated home. This first sequence is shown in a 4:3 ratio and sports a twisted peakaboo game with Harker and Longlengs.
He has been killing on spree for decades and in each crime scene there is only a note left with some occult symbols. They initially make no sense.
Then cut to the present day and Harker, portrayed by Maika Monroe, now a investigation agent, along with her partner Agent Fisk on their first day out in the field. She is investigating a house which is connected to the murders.
She then yells at her partner with confidence that the killer is inside. To Harker dismay, her partner dismisses the suggestion entering the house while calling for backup. Agent Fisk and Harker enters the house, they are greeted by Longlengs (unseen) and he says that his friend is downstairs. There is a little altercation and Agent Fisk dies, while Harker is able to escape.
Then a little background is shown regarding Harker previous evaluation to become an field agent. The Bureau psych evaluation thinks that Harker has special abilities and intuition, causing her boss, Agent Carter, to make her a key member in the investigation of an onslaught that occured in 10 different household.
The husband kills the whole family then suicide. In all houses there are no signs of forced entry and the same note with cryptic messages is found signed by longlengs.
Harker is then shown poring over file cases and crime scene photos. She tells the investigation team that she came to a conclusion that the 10 families had daughters that were 9 years old and they all had birthday on the 14th of a given month.
She doesn't mention to them that she was probably stalked by the killer. She then receives a cryptic message herself, which she decodes as the movie progresses. From here to there some scenes with her mom are shown, she is a religious devout and asks Harker to pray devotedly to protect her from the evil.
Then with a sole longlengs survivor that has been institutionalized they are able to trace the killer, who is a devil worshiper and a doll maker.
It is then shown that longlengs gifts the families with the dolls and that some people have been influenced by subliminal messages in corroborating with the serial killer, even Harker's own mother.
Then Longlengs finally is shown by the 40 minute mark of the movie. He is basically the personification of T-Rex - Get It On, the lyrics pretty much describe him and his fixation for young girls.
He looks like as if Tiny Tim and Marc Bolan had a son. His face and skin complexion are really pale and he also uses a whitish foundation with a red lipstick, he has a curly but moopy silver hair and he articulates as if he were a puppet doll.
She then realizes that there were far more people involved and that the dolls were demon receptacles, once the girls have their birthday on 14th, the demon possess the family and then the killings happen. That is why there is no sign of struggle.
Then it is shown Longlengs making the dolls, he hears voices and start making them as an evil Gepeto. He is the vessel for a satanic demon himself. Longlegs is injured during a pursuit and dies. The demon then leave him to his death.
In the last act there is the revelation that her boss was a satanic worshiper all along and, alongside Harker own mother they were helping the demon. Harker is possessed by the longlegs demon as it is subtle shown in the ending as she prepares for work.
There you go.
This trailer made me have nightmares but I love it.
The guy in the car after maika screaming is Nicolas Cage’s character, It’s the same outfit he wears in the notorious still of him with the hands over the eyes thing.

There’s someone who was able to turn up the brightness…pretty high, & were “apparently” able to see-& it is an unsettling AF face of what looks like a dead victim-VERY puppet looking too
So, as of now, theory does make sense. There’s a few bodies covered by black sheets, one Maika’s character is seen walking around/towards
Don’t think it’s supernatural, not of yet anyway (& I hope there’s no more-want to go in blind ya know?)-
Think it’s one of 2 ways, or both maybe
1-as said, I thought the same-Cage isn’t killing, but influencing others to kill through some occult practices-would answer for the long spans of time we see, & why it’s never Cage we see attacking anyone-yet (except one shot)
2-whether Cage is committing the murders or not; Cage is turning the dead victims into some type of twisted “human puppet”

Kinda upset with that character description of Nicolas cages character. Kinda spoiled it a little for me to be honest. I had no clue what that movie would be about or how everything goes down but you answered just that and I wish I would’ve found out as I was watching 😭 I don’t think they even wanted us to know all that by the trailers they’ve given us.
