Simple explanation for no pool chairs: Indians don't sunbathe, We do not have the culture of sunbathing even under shade when sun is out, (sun is considered harsh, unless it's early sun raise) so what people do is to go back to their room after the swim in the pool (which is often filled with pool chemicals), take a shower and rinse off in normal water and rest in our bed's.

I would lie on the pool chairs with shade. There are pool chairs in most of the hotels, for example try The Den Hotel in White field. It has pool with pool chairs, sauna, gym etc.

@@sportsstories187 I think you can have chairs in the sun as well as under shelter. With lots of international tourists coming it is a good idea to have pool chairs. Southern Star hotel has nice pool with chairs, and a diving board I beieve. Grand Mercur has nice pool.with chairs. Most upscale hotels have pools with facilities for sun bathing!

Regarding your comment about lack of pool chairs, may be you should have suggested it to the management. I agree pool chairs will let you enjoy the pool more! I am glad you are enjoying Mysore! Lots of hugs to Kylie! She seems to be having a blast! Enjoy, and be safe!!

Food poisoning can be avoided. Dont eat oily foods from local shops. Most importantly, you should take curd/probiotics/buttermilk at end of each meal. This would help to avoid any food poisoning.
For swimming pool, there usually will be chairs. But in resorts, since there are nearbyy rooms, some avoid having them.

    Hello
Mysore's a great place to visit but now its all summer here and its pretty much hot everywhere in India :)
Usually pool chairs will be there, but not sure why it was not there in your resort.
Always try to eat food at good places and the moving ones. Try to avoid too much sugary, oily liquid kinda foods..wherever you go..and yes packaged waters for drinking are must.
I must say you are doing grt and your kids are awesome! Hope you enjoy your stay in India.

Pools chairs should have been there, but here some resorts have and some dont. Be careful when you are having street foods. Even for an Indian once a while its ok otherwise it ll be overwhelming. Hope you had heard the term DELHI BELLY. Have a memorable trip

Pool chairs are for sunbathing. All Indians spend their time running from the sun. Here in OZ all Indians are under the shade on a train station waiting for the train while everyone else is out in the open trying to catch some rays. 😁

Even in apartment with pool, I have not seen it. No one complaint about it.... So they have not put. Maybe now they will 😮😮😮

In India we don't prefer sunbathing... So no poolchairs .... Because indian weather is very different from USA .... Here you can experience 6 weather seasons in 12 months varying from extreme cold of -20°C in winters to extreme hot of 45-48°C in summer .... and in india if you try sunbathing then it will end up with sunburns .... So that will end up in suffering rather than enjoyment.

Because approximately 80- 90% indian weather is hot so no one in india is interested in taking sun raya.. That's why they don't put chairs in along side of the polls...I think that's reason behind it ..i may be wrong

I think there's truth to that, also I think the culture is a bit more conservative here than in the US/Europe in certain ways. Thank you!
