Good lord lol you can sure see the hours of effort you’ve cut into your artistry. The precision with which you place your blocks and resulting realism even at this stage is exemplary. ❤
Beautiful, always incredibly helpful to see the steps of application and blending. In other news I tried laminating one of my works. It was Caran D'ache pastel pencil on pastel matt. The heat caused ripples in the surface, the pastel clung onto the underside of the laminate and now I'm wondering if it will yellow over time. Maybe I should have sprayed it with a fixative first. Something UV resistant and archival perhaps. So far, I don't suggest lamination, not yet.
Looks amazing!! Nice to see the progress. I have sometimes problems which paper to use. So I was wondering which pastel paper do you use? Do you have recommendations?
works the same for my 72 half sticks from faber castell. I believe I have the student version. I just foundout that pastelmat does not like makeup sponges, fail, lol crums evrywhere, that ''ll teach me to go cheap on tools,LOL

Really interesting technique I've not encountered before. I'm keen to give it a go after seeing this.

yes lamination wont work, you are basically trying to laminate dust. so it will never stick together
@@wildlifeartjm Thank you for your reply, I will continue to experiment and let you know my findings.
