Aurora is [low key] my favorite modern vocalist/songwriter/performer. There is a pureness and power that comes out of this wonderful human... and this is coming from an old school classic/progressive/hard rock fan. This song as with many of hers always hits me in the heart, and this message coupled with the energy of the music is even more powerful.

I’m surprised you haven’t done more from her catalog of amazing songs. You will definitely like many more. Her originals AND covers are next level.
I’m 54….and feel blessed to have grown up in the 70’s and 80’s where, imho, is the greatest eras of music. And have experienced many many legendary artists in my lifetime….Prince…Eagles….FLEETWOOD Mac…Linda Ronstsadt…James Taylor…Van Halen…Sade…MJ…Cyndi Lauper…Babyface…Billy Joel…Elton John…KennyRogers….Whitney Houston….Marvin Gaye….just to name a few.
But, AURORA has passed all to the top of my list. Such a pure artist. She seems to live her life representing what she speaks in her music. Her interviews, and I’ve seen many, are ALL so insightful, deep and very well thought out before she speaks. Soooooo dang intelligent in her young age.
And very inspiring. I’ve taken so many advice she’s thrown out there from her discussions and made a major difference in y own life. I’m not ashamed to learn from a younger soul than myself. Lessons can be taught from any age. It’s up to the listener to be too stubborn and not take the nugget of info that may just help you in your own journey in life….or humble one’s self to take it and run. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
This world needs more artists like this young wahine. ESPECIALLY here in America. She’s light years away from the “celebrities” that Americans idolize that are just so bad influences on young minds that are looking for inspirational people to emulate. And, boy, we lack immensely in that Dept.
It is so nice to see many of my students on my university campus that consider Aurora a huge inspiration.
Hope to see you do more Aurora stuff. Like “Through the Eyes of a Child” ….the VEVO STRIPPED version…and, the Live at NIDOROSDOMEN. Amazing performance. That’s another thing about her. Her studio recordings are great. But, she takes it to another level Live.
Another very good tune is “The River” music video about not holding back your emotions. And “Daydreamer” …”Different Kind of Human”….”Lucky”…”Queendom”…”Murder Song” from the 2015 Nobel Peace concert…”Exist For Love”….just to start with.
As a bassist there’s not many songs she does that’s fun to play along with. But, I’ve sharpened my piano skills with her songs. Great songs on piano.

Aurora is a unique little unicorn. Whether live or in the studio she always has insanely talented sound people. Her live shows, the ones I've seen, are essentially live studio sessions. She reminds me of another even smaller unique unicorn that's been around since 1975 and is still at it, her name is Björk. Human Behaviour, Hyperballad (

I can recommend Aurora live at the current"it happened quiet". Perfect live performance only with one guitar and backvocal.
Also her feat. with Wadruna "Helvegen" is insanly powerful. The message and storytelling is really amazing.

That particular performance of 'Churchyard' had been my very first AURORA impression, thanks to a friend sending me the link in late 2019 🤩👍
She's one of those artists who sounds even better when performing live 😊
She could have her own voice layered there, but probably Silja Sol is singing there, too, as she does on the album.

This is one of her very best, by far, it's just completely spellbinding, and the video is the icing on the cake for this one, it's a brilliant combo. Since you've also heard Runaway already, Exist For Love, Running With the Wolves, Winter Bird, Stjernestøv, Animal, Queendom, Cure For Me, A Different Kind of Human and Heathens are other really amazing tracks that should definitely be checked out.

I found Aurora through her virtual concert in Sky: Children of the Sky
Seeing you react to this video was almost as emotional as watching the official Aurora video itself.
In fact, it added a level of emotion (I didn't need to be suffocated... ^^).
This video is a very good way to discover this song.
But once you do, it's almost essential to see this song live... and the best would be at the HAIK concert.
That' s when there's a surprise, and you can also see Silja vocalizing with Aurora... it's just... well, you have to see it.
It would be nice even to share, but at least watch it :)

You say you like songs that have meaning and are energetic. I STRONGLY recommend you to have a look at Voice of Baceprot, three youg indonesian girls that play metal and have powerful lyrics.
If you go to them, check "God Allow Me (Please) to play music", "(Not) Public Property" "School Revolution" "PMS". You can find them on their official RUclips channel. They have also some great covers of Metallica (Enter Sandman) Rage Against The Machine (Killing In The Name) and a lot of others. Hope you can have a look
