@@hamradiotubeBelieve me, amigo, you get to my age, you’ll have med kits in/on everything. I have a months worth in my ever-ready carry-on & another in the checked bag, plus a weeks wirth in my flying jacket/vest. Survive! That’she name of the game, as ol’ Inspector Lee (William S. Burroughs, Jr) used to say. ;-). 73 de W8IJN. And, yeah: great big POTA kit.
I think some padding be placed between the 20 Ah battery and the 891. Vibration and jostling could damage the battery wall especially if the heat sink metal fins constantly abrade the plastic wall.
I admit I have a bag addiction so I just ordered this one to be delivered before Christmas. Whatever the size of the bag I tend to want to fill it up so this one fits in between bag sizes for me so maybe I can keep it under 20 lbs. Merry Christmas to me... and of course everybody else as well.
Took me too long to get the pew pew mags. Honestly pictured someone rolling up paper "pew pew" magazines and sticking them in the slots and tried to figure out why one would do that for a ham bag. Lol
@ good to know! I want to get a 12ah Bioenno to replace my current 20ah LiFePO4 anyways as the 20ah is way over spec’d for my 1-2 hour 100w SSB activations anyways! Too big and bulky and I never use over 4-6ah on a POTA activation anyways.
Thx mike. So many ppl pop up w $300 bags for their radios…. Theyre on more crack than darin jones…. A more common sense approach. Thanks ✌️🇺🇸🙏. Gj mike. Theyre all sold out 😂
I don't see any way in hell I would spend $300 on a bag. That's just crazy. I think the most expensive bag I own is the Gigaparts Explorer bag that starts at like $65, then you can add whatever little accessory bags to it to suit your needs, but you'd still probably not go over $150.
This one I bought at Walmart. www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-MacBook-Air-13-3-inch-Laptop-Silver-M1-Chip-8GB-RAM-256GB-storage/715596133?classType=VARIANT&athbdg=L1102&from=/search&adid=22222222220220085369&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&veh=sem&vtcWeb=cLpSaHAYUEeeiJ2Gh_OIac&expiryTime=1734565122410&c=mWebSmartBanner
For the love of christ can we get something that isn't a tactical bag? It's cool if that's what you're into, but I have yet to see anything else. I've resorted to using photography cubes in my backpack.
Well, number one, I don't love Christ, and B, I'm not interested in what other people are using, I'm interested in the solutions that I find to suit my needs, and showing them to my viewers in hopes they find it useful. Some do, some don't. But with the 6,000 views this video has gotten in the last 24 hours, I suspect most people are interested in this. You want to make a video about photography bags, go ahead. I for one have seen several videos about that very subject. Mike, N2MAK did one not too long ago with his solution for his 705.
I love bags like this - the issue with the cheap bags tends to be very crappy zippers.
May I suggest adding a small medical kit? Maybe in an external molle pouch
Not a bad idea. I do have one on my main portable bag. I would have a lot of med kits if I had one for every radio bag!

He got left holding the bag.😊
Is that a NOFX reference?
@hamradiotube no. Just a substandard witicism.
Those D Rings are great. There’s a set of tactical bag molle attachments that I love to keep accessible
Thanks Mike. Looks great.
Wheres the pocket for the 100aH battery?
Wow, you can get a lot in there. I never realized a D-ring would be perfect for RG316 either.
You forgot the emergency grounding chain around your wrist. >:)
Awesome video Mike. I’m working on setting up a chest rig with a 25watt and 10ah battery for sar.

thank you Mike!
Great product but does not fit my ipad pro 12 with its case on it. Thanks for the review.
I would not expect an iPad Pro to fit in this, no. That's too much machine for this humble bag.
I'm a sucker for bags.
Have you ever checked out the Maxpedition pocket organizer pouches? I have a couple and I really like them.
73 from W8RAD
Looks great Mike, though do you think it would hold the 891 if it had Armoloq on it? I know that would add to the width, depth, and especially hight
Without the 20Ah battery I would think the 891 with Armoloq would fit quite well.

Can hold pew pew mags! Im sold! LOL
I bet that you could put a lot of Skittles in that bag.
Especially if they are just the yellow and orange Skittles! Those are my favorites!
Mike, which Macbook Air? I'd like to lookup the dimensions.

Currently out of stock from the link given
Its more greater 🌮🌮🌮
Bag sold out
Doingie? 🤣
I like my bags to be expensive.
You're not the only one.
While I think "sling bags" are sexy, a standard 2 strap backpack is better for your back and spine.
I speak from experience. 😉
Depends on your use case.
Anyone try it with a 20Ah battery and an Xiegu G90?
The g90 is slightly smaller than the 891 so it should fit.
