Great job guys - love the presentation format and awesome way to get the basics of the reformed position across - well done - loved the other ones by Doug on Sovereignty and Postmil - superb
This is a particularly easy to understand and informative series. It's flow and its ease of comprehension are very well administered, especially considering the context that it is in, an enormously complex one. Very well-done Christ Church. I'm proud of the work you guys are doing up in Idaho. Keep it up, keep the faith, and build the Kingdom.
This is the most concise explanation on Covenant I have ever heard explained thank you so much.. I will be sharing this with my bible study group…and referring back to it in the future blessings from Sydney Australia Down Under 🙏👍🇦🇺
This is an extremely helpful video for people, like myself, who are new to covenant theology. So thank you so much! I do however have a question that a Baptist brother of mine asked, which is: “what is the nature of Christs federal union to unregenerate members in the covenant community?” This honestly stumped me so I’m trying gain understanding on this point. How would you answer him?
16:04 - What scripture are you referencing what makes a marriage covenant here, the claim that the public exchange of vows with witnesses is what makes a marriage covenant, it's inferred we are discussing marriage in terms of God, not secular, so this the context of my question.
Hi. Can anyone recommend a good book on Covenant Theology? I am reading Michael Horton's at the moment but it seems a bit too heavy with two kingdoms doctrine.
Check out 'The Christ of the Covenants' by Palmer Robertson and 'Covenant Made Simple' by Rhodes. A more practical one that hits on infant baptism/family is Pastor Doug's 'To a Thousand Generations.' Blessings!
This is different from Reformed Theology. It isn't a "covenant of life/creation" but a "covenant of works" and that covenant, technically, wasn't by grace. That is why the new covenant is the "covenant of grace." Also, the covenant of grace doesn't include the covenant of works. This teaching is dangerously coming close to rejecting salvation by faith alone. To quote the Westminster Confession, 7.2-3 - "The first covenant made with man was a covenant of works, wherein life was promised to Adam; and in him to his posterity, upon condition of perfect and personal obedience. Man, by his fall, having made himself incapable of life by that covenant, the Lord was pleased to make a second, commonly called the covenant of grace; wherein He freely offereth unto sinners life and salvation by Jesus Christ; requiring of them faith in Him, that they may be saved, and promising to give unto all those that are ordained unto eternal life His Holy Spirit, to make them willing, and able to believe."
In my life I divorced Satan a long time ago. Therefore , he has no right to re -enter my life. Unless I allow it. I am married to my savior Jesus Christ ,
Genesis 3:21 implies the first animal sacrifice, something we become very familiar with later in Exodus and Leviticus, then ultimately in Jesus. After the animal sacrifice, God uses it to "clothe them", much like Jesus' righteousness clothes us. I do believe Adam and Eve we're saved by Jesus.
It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. Romans 4:13 They were saved if they put Faith in God. The same as everyone else.
The covenant is an agricultural deal about farming humans... Abraham's line was the chosen pedigree... Psalms 44:22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
I love this format, great job guys.

Great explanation it strengthened my faith God Bless you pastor
Covenant and Faith are two different matters , to me . Covenant could mean group transformation . But Faith is strictly personal .
Oh this is gold!!!

No covenant church where I live 😢

Is the marriage covenant through God to be kept even after divorce? Just as Jesus said not to remarry, but to be reconciled to your covenant spouse.
What is the covenant with Ezra? Never heard of it and can't find anything online.

Did God send Adam & Eve to hell , or did he make a second option to enter into eternal life? I suppose it was by Jesus .

They should trade Embiid. He’s not a winner, and his value has never been higher.
The covenant is an agricultural deal about farming humans...
Abraham's line was the chosen pedigree...
Psalms 44:22
Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Abraham's line was chosen because they were the "least of these" so God would receive the glory.
