@@MTBZenMaster That would be awesome! I hope we can get together and do some riding. I want to meet new people and ride new places. That's my goal this year! Jarheadnyg on insta.
You've got me pumped. I love the format of the enduro racing. Just not a fan of the climbing. Way to stay positive and way to finish. Great to hear your insight and positive thoughts throughout the stages. Racing enduro is a whole another animal physically and mentally.
Brian!!! Thank you, These videos are late, I have three more enduros I need to get out before the season starts in May. The problem is, trying to improve the quality of the edits takes me time. Trying to get out content is a race within the race LOL. :-)
Yo Josh! Get it in dude! My tips for the transfer stages is, energy management. Blue mountain only had one climb, but other places usually have a climb per stage (5). Climbing is a necessary evil. You will want to train. weeks before, go practice and simulate your own Enduro. Its like going for your personal best "strava runs". (timed descents) few weekends of long 20- 30 min climbs. Have fuel before your hungry. Since transitions are not timed, dont burn yourself out find a pace that works for you. but you'll need to practice climbing to see how your legs respond, and to dial in your refueling. So, save your legs going up, so you have full effort going down.
Very cool. Like this series. Love your additude. If I lived near you I would try and find you to ride with you. I've never done something like that but would love to try. Do you think a trek marlin 6 could do that?
Thanks Harry! For for Enduro Racing I would recommend a full suspension, trail/all mountain bike. But Hard tails are great for Cross Country racing. Thats what I started on.
Thinking about doing the enduro for 2023. Blue Mountain is my local park been there Mountain Creek and Killington too. Can I use a DH for enduro. Like your videos.
Thanks! You could probably use a DH bike for Blue Mountain since they let us use lifts, but most of the other races you have to climb on the transition up. Go ride some laps an glen park to test if you'd like 5/6 climbs. oh and check the rules on the eastern states cup website.
LOL I'm fat and so slow. This race is at a bike park. Take the chair lift up and Gravity is my friend when going down steep descents. I even break too much going down LOL :-)
@@MTBZenMaster awesome :) literally came on this video to comment and ask where you have been...i met you at diamond hill at the ESC near the beginning of the season and have been waiting for a video ever since, lol. we all miss your positivity and fun. hope to see from you soon :)
