Hi Theresa I really enjoyed this video. Your casual approach is so refreshing, not taking anything too seriously. I’m 67 and have recently started using bare minerals powder foundation and am absolutely loving it. I’ve been fortunate to have pretty good skin and haven’t felt the need for foundation up until now, so I almost feel like a teenager again, experimenting with new products! Unlike you I have cool colours and have a lot of trouble with the current trend for neutral eyeshadows, which just look wrong on me. I’ve found the best look is simply a powder concealer, similar to the one you used, which covers my horrible dark brown oily eyelids. I find it also works great under the eyes and doesn’t crease. It’s by Lily Lolo and is very nice to apply with a soft brush to that delicate area. I turn 42 next month and I truly LOVE Bare Minerals. I do have oily skin which I'm sure you know comes with it's pros and cons! I just use their matte powder foundation and mineral veil (both in the loose form) but I too use a different primer. I am currently using Neutrogena color correct and I'm liking it a lot. Matte definitely works best for me with most makeup brans and primers I use. I also like Clinique's matte pressed powder foundation
How pretty!! I have so much BM and have owned it for 25 years. I just can't figure out how to use it w/o it looking cakey! makes me sad! Enjoyed your video! 🙂
Start with really good skin prep. A skin care routine is so important. Make sure you are exfoliated and moisturized. Let that sink in then use a silicone based primer (little bigger than a pea sized amount) and let that sit for 10 minutes. Then apply BM how she demonstrated but I personally apply it section by section. Only use a little on each section and buff into skin each section for at least 10 seconds. The buffing warms the product up. After all your makeup is done but before mascara DEFINITELY use a setting spray! The setting spray is super important!!! Hope this helps 😊
Is the loose powder you used for the foundation the newest formula? I've heard they've changed it since I last wore it some years back and heard it may be irritating.
