    Hi Bruce! I like how you passionately narrate your Zimbabwean journeys (and other episodes detailing other places as well). Despite the numerous documented challenges bedeviling our nation, you choose to focus mainly on the vast potential this country has. Indeed you were born in Zimbabwe! Being in the diaspora, this is the closest one can go home after some time...lol! I hope you will go back to visit all the other amazing places,...looking forward to the next amazing episode, I am now an avid follower!

    • @OverlandingwithBruce
      @OverlandingwithBruce  2 года назад +3

      Thanks very much Mukuru. I’m not a politician and I think everyone has enough media focusing on the negatives, because that’s what they do. I tell it as I see it and am not influenced by anyone except the people I meet along the way. So it’s well done to the Zimbabwean people for making me feel welcome and being so positive despite the hardships.
      I can not wait to go back and in fact if I hadn’t already paid for my trip to Botswana next month, I would be in Zimbabwe.

    Tatenda Bruce and the lads .. best time to see an abundance of wildlife at mana is August/September.. that’s when there is little standing water inland so the wildlife then are forced to the flood plain in search of water and they feast off the Albida pods which start dropping off in August onwards. I will be there first week of August and looking forward to it .. Gods heaven on earth “ it’s wild .. it’s natural and seems untouched as it is .. I am happy to sacrifice the comforts like running hot water etc for the views and that river is like nothing you will find around Africa. Thanks guys for enjoying this wonderful country. I love how authentic you are. Btw Ryan is absolutely right, you fix Beit Bridge border then a lot changes. That border is a nightmare in peak season, otherwise there's nothing else to worry about. Zimbabwe has always been beautiful, and I do believe it's "open for business". I got to visit again with my family, they've never been there.

    • @OverlandingwithBruce
      @OverlandingwithBruce  10 месяцев назад

      Best Bridge has been fixed on the Zim side and is much better than it was. It's quite impressive but there is still too much back and forth that is needed making it very inefficient. I wish they could do a border post like between the USA and Mexico. That would change everything. Thank you for watching.

    Excellent content Bruce. Your glowing tribute about Zimbabweans and the land is heart warming. There is a very human side to your vlogs (imperfections included) that is very relatable. Thanks Bruce, enjoying your videos. We have just bought an Invader off-road camper and plan to do Namibia, Bots, Zim etc next year. Kruger this month. How would towing be on this trip you have just done? Also would be good to know what Jonno has done to his Fortuner as I have just bought a new one and would be keen to know what is best on accessories. Keep up the great videos!

    • @OverlandingwithBruce
      @OverlandingwithBruce  2 года назад +2

      Thank you David. I don’t know what the invader is but it’s obviously an off-road camper so you shouldn’t have any issues depending on your routes. Some tracks can be quite narrow in mana and Chitake campsites are not really suited for trailers as you would have seen in Episode 1. The rest will be fine. The roads are pretty good mostly but some can get a bit narrow with trucks etc and some roads are pretty potholed but I would be quite happy towing pretty much everywhere that we went except Chitake.
      Ryan I think will be doing something on Johns fortuner so keep a look at for that on his channel. Otherwise please contact me through maybe Facebook Overlanding with bruce and I can put you in touch with him or if you are in JHB maybe organise a meeting so you can take a look.
