The LAST EVER WestJet Boeing 767 Flight - Takeoff from Calgary Airport

- After 5 years of having the 767 in their fleet, WestJet has officially retired its fourth and last aircraft.
C-FOGT, Tail 673, departed Calgary this morning for the very last time for Lake City, Florida to join the other three aircraft at their new life with Amazon Prime Air.
I definitely feel an attachment to these planes, having caught the delivery flights of all four back when they first arrived in Calgary, and they'll be missed! By WestJet maintenance and customer service though, perhaps not so much.
So long, 767!

Great video Alex! Farewell to the WestJet 767’s.
My first 767 flight was aboard one of these aircraft in Plus seating from YYC to YYZ. Loved the flight. The 767's had the best seating arrangement in Economy where only one person per row had a middle seat...Glad they're going to see a third life with Amazon, and wish them well.
While it’s sad to see them go, at least it’s better to have them start a second life as a cargo plane than having them get scrapped. And a new logo too for the channel, nice!
Third life actually. They were bought by Qantas initially and then sold to WestJet.
Only five years with WestJet... that's crazy how short they lasted in WestJet's fleet. Nice catch!
I have been flying to Hawaii for 10 years in a row and have always been on the 767 and is making me tear up seeing them go I had so many memories on them😥
Last 767
Me: *Already?*
It was an amazing aircraft to fly on, will never forget it! Sad day, what a birthday gift lol
Amazing catch of this sad moment!
Good sightline.
I was driving to school and saw a westjet 767 departing this morning, gave one last salute then shed a tear. Goodbye 767
Very nice catch👍🏼😍😍
Awesome video! I was on the opposite side of 17R, she flew up like a rocket!
Beautiful plane the 767 ! She climbed outta there like a rocket 🚀
That was a speedy rotation!
Nooooooooooo ill miss those birds 😥😥😥😥😥
Very sad but love the new logo for the channel
I used to load these birds at YEG when they first entered service to OGG and then later to LGW (although I don't think they had tail 763 yet). Always loved the sound of these things.
Westjet 767's were plagued with mechanical issues leading to horrendous delayed flights. 787's a very good choice to replace the old birds.
Dad:
Why you crying so dang loud?
Kid:
Because i have to go....
I was lucky enough to fly on one of these WestJet 767's thought I don't remember the registration of it
Great catch Alex! :) These planes were 25 years old or more ?
Thank you for sharing this with us ...
Take care and be safe out there...:):):)
These aircraft definitely say at YYC for quite some time
Thank you. Never hear a thing about this and I’m a longtime westjet customer. You’d think they would make a bit of a deal about it.
I wonder what it's like to fly "Duct Tape Airways"!
Always liked the 767, flew on several of the AC Rouge planes but never did get on one of these. Was booked on one in 2016 for Toronto to Jamaica but it got replaced due to maintenance issues.
Raider Newf And therein lies the problem!
@@gerardacronin334 Yep, they had nothing but problems with these from day one. Qantas really got the better side of this deal.
Wish I could have flied on the westjet ones. I flew on the sunwing lease 767 before
Alex is that standard when they are delivering aircraft to a new company to paint over the westjet name on the airplane?
Probably It'll arrive to TLV airport soon, for conversion to cargo aircraft in IAI. Today N521AZ landed here (prev registration: C-GOGN).
JAY WAS HERE
They might have to bring them back if the stories about the B787 and the quality control that are circulating are true.
At least they will not be scraped and continue to work hard for prime air.
Bye 767😢
Alex, why did they sell these off?
Corey McDonald correct
Th-the last 767...
'Cries'
Realizes air Canada still flys 767s
'Stops cry'
Preeeeeeeety sure they don’t anymore...
@@isaactxn oh... cry again
I'll give away my age. I flew on the first 767 that PWA bought in 83. Think about that for a moment.
Surprised Delta didn't try to buy it. Delta loves 767. Amazon probably paid more than what Delta is willing to...
Bye 767 😪😪😪😪
Glorified five ton trucks now? I'm certain that in a few years there will be no stores as we know it now, just amazon. I only ever got to see OGJ in Winnipeg in May 2016.
the paint job over their name was not done well. they did not cover their name on the wings
WestJet should retire most of thier narrow body planes and buy more wide-bodies like a330 and 787
The 38 fan blade cf6-80c engine sound garbage
Too bad they couldn’t have given them a proper send off! To add insult to injury, a half ass job covering up the name! Looks like a Trump sharpie was used! 🤨
But thank-you Alex for showing a beauty take to flight and glad they will have a second life doing what they do best... FLY! Cheers! 🍻
Glad westjet went private, karmas a bi*ch what with their latest political bs going on, and everything else. Get ready for the ULLC’s, As for the 67, loved the service on rouge two years ago, Tampa to T.O, 35 pax on board, wish I filmed THAT, can’t imagine it now...
