This has gotta be one of your most game-accurate contraptions yet! If I didn’t know better, I’d have thought the opening animation was footage directly from the game 🤯 Keep it up man
Not only does it look exactly like a shulker box on the outside, but man that opening animation is so smooth...I was expecting it to have a spin animation since you always replicate things to the fullest degree but I didn't think it would go that fast and actually look like how it opens in-game, wow. Love seeing these projects, keep it up!
Thank you so much!! The footage is sped up some during the spinning and lifting because the lid is pretty heavy, but it still looks really good! Thank you, will do! 🙂
Love how seamlessly the top and bottom slot together after closing. Top work as always on making it game accurate and beautiful. The blue was such a great choice since we have so many great shades, it really pops!
That would be really cool, ngl! I do take apart my builds because I need the electronics for future builds, but I always have the palms for them because of these videos, so I could build every block again if I can get enough electronics!
That was a more dramatic explosion than I expected! I wouldn't have been able to drop it like that, but then again you can always build it again (although you might need a few parts replaced if they broke), but I still wouldn't have been able to drop it 😂 The final custom animation was really cool. There should be an actual in-game mod that allows you to make custom shulker box animations 😂 Also, why'd you go with blue instead of the default purple?
Yeah the explosion turned out better than I thought it would too! I chose blue because of the LEGO® color options I had available. Only like 2 parts broke, so I can rebuild it anytime ☺️
I’m honestly just speechless with how impressed I am with this, incredible job and well done. I’m still extremely impressed with your older creations, but this one manages to be even better! Insanely well done, and the effort as well as dedication to destroy it at the end is very impressive!
OUCH! I felt that drop. Custom animation 1 was the best imo. Congrats on the whole build! Really well done, and used a lot of technical pieces I didn’t even know existed! Also, watching the furnace video now! 😁
This is by far the coolest of them all! (or maybe just my memory isn't great xD ) but my soul shattered into pieces when the shulker box did the same :(
oooh that explosive landing hurt me... how did you find the strength to throw such a work like this, I wouldn't be able to The build is amazing too! And the addition of password is a neat touch!
I've been impressed already with how perfectly you manage to organize everything, and I thought it couldn't get better than the furnace, but holy crap... A contraption that spins completely open, but ALSO has a lock and storage system?? Insane.
Just incredible! Love it. I like the fact you've change the color of it, and didn't make the normal color. Now the only thing which left is the ender chest. Good luck for teleport Lego pièce x)
Thanks so much! I actually had a great design for an ender chest, but ended up setting it aside for now since the LEGO® colors I needed aren't available at the moment. Maybe it'll happen at some point!
This is just amazing. I would love to get some more details on the software side of things. For instance, how do you make the top rotate without it going up and down? I'm intrigued :)
Great question! The key to that is actually in the hardware. There are two motors in the base. One does the lifting, and one does both spinning and lifting. So when both are synced in the software and work together, the lid lifts and spins by both motors. But when only one motor spins you get either lifting or spinning depending on how the motors are programmed to run.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe this is the first time you've used current-generation LEGO Mindstorms for this sort of construct. Very nice! I heard LEGO implemented means to make the programmable bricks able to communicate with each other, which wasn't possible on release - a first, for a mainline Mindstorms product by my understanding - but I had to see it for myself... Good job with it, though! Loved all the animations. Too bad it failed the drop test! (Though I have to admit I'm not surprised)
You're correct, it is the first time I've used Spike Prime for a project on RUclips. And yes, the hubs can now communicate with each other over Bluetooth, which actually they've been able to do with NXT, EV3, and also now Spike Prime too. It's a pretty handy tool! Yeah, it didn't stand much of a chance at a 2-story drop :) Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@BrickMachinesChannel Yeah, I knew the previous Mindstorms controllers could communicate; that’s what put me off of the Spike Prime platform, actually, because it was the only one that couldn’t at first. Very neat that it can do so now! I’ll likely keep working with EV3 for some time, myself, but knowing that Spike Prime is a viable option now for the kinds of things I’d want to use it for, I’ll keep it in mind if I need to make an upgrade. Though it may end up being the case that something even better will have come out by the time I can afford it. Haha!
Yes, completely agree that it was a large roadblock for big projects. Super glad that they can communicate now! I also still rely heavily on EV3. They have nice differences, so it's great to be able to pick and choose depending on the projects requirements. Yeah, fair enough!
Absolutely love this content! Your skill is clearly presented in your builds and it really inspires me. Also, can you do a cartopraphy table next? I feel like that would be a great challenge for you!
Thanks so much! Also great idea! I had a really cool design for a cartography table, but the colors in the LEGO® pallet didn't match the cartography table very well, so I set it aside for now. Hopefully sometime I'll build it!
I literally do not care about sharing the video to help you get bigger. I literally want to meet you to see how you build these. You would be a GODLY engineer.
this is as awesome as always!. I myself feel like the ID protection would fit better for an enderchest. but i ain't complaining, this is still really cool!
