That being said, I don't feel there is any need to compare who did it better. Kurt wrote the song himself, and he probably would agree that this is just an amazing tribute, not so much a competition.

It's not a commemoration to Kurt, it an induction of Nirvana in the hall of fame. As you may be aware, this was Nirvanas most famous song. Kurt is dead and unable to be angry about this song anymore.
