    I feel Priest and Crüe should’ve both ended after the initial “farewell tours”. It’s sad how money can and will divide people

      Yeah I was at MC's "farewell tour" and I have to say that they sounded horrible. My brother thought it could've been the venue's acoustics or something. I thought but how did Alice Cooper who opened sound so f'n fantastic then?

I was in a joint partnership in my youth and was miserable until I opened my own business, and promptly crushed the F out of my former lazy partner. I can't imagine having four or five partners. Ha, and especially when in many cases you are dealing with raging alcoholics or drug addicts on top of that! Surprised many bands last as long as they do!

    Watching Mick on this last tour was amazing. He was so professional, you knew he was in so much pain, but never showed it.

      Totally. Mick is a hard worker for sure. I know the type.. the guy who learns all the material backwards and forwards , shows up to rehearsals on time, and becomes the default pacemaker of the band because everyone else is slightly goofing off and not taking shit seriously. I think he's a real pro. It's actually because of workhorses like Mick, that minimally skilled dipshits like Nikki Sixx who aren't serious about their craft are able to be in the band at all. They are fluff. Nothings.. Mick has none of the delusional arrogance of the " rock star". He just wants what is....... HIS.💀🤘

    Yes, when Glenn retired, KK shouldve gotten back in and Richie shouldve covered Glenn's parts. That wouldve been win/win. KK would bee KK again and Richie would have covered Glenn perfectly.

      And in a purely financial sense, Glenn is cutting off his nose to spite his face-if KK rejoined Priest you know that would result in a sudden burst of attention, lots of new merch and a bump in ticket sales. He’d get a cut of all of that.

    Last time i saw MC was 10-12 years ago, and the only thing i enjoyed about it was Mick. His health issues were already well documented. He basically stood still all night, but he looked and played badass... skin and bone, long black coat and a big tophat with skull and bones. Looking like a witchmaster...

    All I know is that KK's Priest released the best "Priest" album in decades. It won't surprise me if Mick Marrs puts together a superior line up and does the same as "Mick's Crew".

    Priest is just a Rob Halford solo venture, now.
    As for Motley, those guys have become the Ashlee Simpson's of the genre.

      Agree , neither of the original guitarists and founding members playing in the band anymore. It's not JP anymore and the energy level is pathetic , I have no problem with Ritchie but Andy doesn't fit in and they're a shell of what they used to be. They were in my state last year and couldn't even sell out a 3000 seat venue , that's insane considering the arenas I've seen them at in the 80's where they constantly sold out venues that hold between 10-20 thousand. It's over and the same for the Crue which mail in their performances now , why would anyone pay $150 to see prerecorded tracks. Especially when I saw them for $16 actually playing instruments in the 80's , all these 80's bands that can't perform live anymore but take people's hard earned money are greedy pieces of crap!!!

What blows me away are the people who say they have never looked better. Not sure what band there talking about, but it sure as hell is not the Priest I remember.

    Just remember how magical the 1980s were. The metal music was legendary and we awaited the next album from all these bands. As it turned out many of our heroes were not great with money or fiscal talent and blew through a fortune.
    Now they are old men squabbling about a percentage of the epilogue of earnings and making concert tickets expensive.

    It all comes down to one thing: **greed**. They seem more interested in keeping that money machine going, milking it for all they can, rather than anything else (especially legacy and integrity). These aren't bands anymore, they're corporations. They haven't been bands for decades. It's sad, rather petty and quite pathetic, but understanding it should be relatively easy because it's simply understanding human nature.

      If its about money and greed the best thing they could do is bring KK back! I think the biggest problem is KK can't keep his f'n mouth shut! He cries anywhere he get some attention. The bridge is definitely burnt down because he set it on fire. I would love to see KK and Richie on stage together, they looked incredible together at the RnR hall of fame.

      David Gilmour ended Pink Floyd when Rick Wright passed away. Reuniting for one-offs for charity was nice but no tours without Rick. Also Led Zeppelin ended with John Bonham's death.

    Bands really shouldn't air their dirty laundry at the end of their careers. Sad to see them destroy their legacy this way, especially realizing how much animosity there was between Glenn and KK over the years that the fans were oblivious to. I've been a Judas Priest fan for over 4 decades, but without Glenn and KK it isn't Judas Priest, it's just Rob Halford's ego project. Watching him waddle around on stage looking like leather Santa isn't worth the price of a ticket. I'd rather go see KK's solo band.

    Truth KK. Fk The management but as soon as Glenn step down as a full-time, torn musician, they should’ve brought KK back as soon as possible. They should still bring him back even as a third guitar player if Glenn is that involved in the writing process. Hell, Richie is all for it. I hope the older guys have the balls to ask the management, “Hey listen, can we make something happen with kk?”

    Yes KK they ganged up on you. You know why? Because Glenn was always jealous of your playing, which is why he demanded on taking 70% of the leads, and Rob sided with him. You were the talent in the band and they knew it.

    Being very knowledgeable about the law I'd saw Mick and K.K. have very good chances of getting their proper share. Of course, they can't sit on the litigation. They can't let the window they have to bring a case pass and it looks like they will bring legal action. I'd say both cases will be settled and never come to trial. Both men have earned their shares.

    thankfully got to see Priest with Downing still in the band but not Halford. Crue first two albums and first 30 seconds of Dr. Feelgood (the song) were really good.

    What a coincidence with all of these different rock bands having drama issues at the same time; A couple of years ago it was the lip syncing complaint of true KISS fans, followed by Journey's personnel issues to today's issues with Motley Crue...     No problem with KK DOWNING. Always liked his guitar work with TIPTON. Ah hell it was the chemistry of the original 4 that created the incredible Judas priest of the 1970s. Love them all none of the replacements appealed to me so I have never cared too much what the band was doing.

    I grew up as Motley and Priest were becoming popular. Its heresy to see them Kicking out Original members and use replacements. Richie and John Lowery are two of the best hired guns but i still find it heresy. We need NEW bands

    We tend to forget that these "bands" are now multi-million dollar businesses. It the end, it's the money that matters more than the members and their personal issues. The corporations behind the bands push them into decisions that always favor the corporate side, never the people.

    Mick MARS's musicianship, songwriting and guitar playing carried the other three BOZOS in MÖTLEY CRÜE. Without Mick MARS, it's a MICKËY MOÜSE cover band. Vince NEIL is a comedy show. Perhaps this MICKËY MOÜSE cover band can open for Jerry SEINFELD's next comedy tour!

    KK was the best in priest. Glen looked like a statue on stage compared to KK. Mick was the riff master in Crue. All those songs from Crue were Mick's.

Maybe I am missing something. He still gets royalties from everything else they still sell, just not from this next tour with John 5 in his place. I think he is bitter they are moving on without him on this next huge tour that he obviously cant do.

I'm sure they all have lawyers and contracts and whatnot to account for every penny MC brings in and how it gets divided up. FWIW, I think the whole situtaion is shitty. They should have retired retired after the final tour like they promised. Then this with Mick and all the back track BS...they've gone full KISS at this point. Shame.

      He's not at the shows to make sure they are actually making what they tell him they are making on merchandise. A founding member DEFINITELY deserves a cut of merch. I understand the guys still touring deserve a bigger cut since they are still influencing the sale of that merch, but the merch wouldn't sell as much without the value of Mick Mars' past contributions to Crue as a brand.

    I personally feel Mick Mars and KK downing both got really bad deals since they were there from the beginning and were huge parts of those band's they were in Mick Mars started motley Crue if it wasn't for Mick Mars there would be no motley Crue period and kk downing was with Judas priest from the beginning and played on all of the best album's of priest and had alot to do with creating that band and the song's so I think the way they are being treated really is quite crappy and shameful and wrong !!!

    KK should be in the touring band. Everyone knows him and wants him there I guess except the rest of the band, and if he is a 25% shareholder in Priest he should occupy 25% of the stage (yes I know it doesn't work that way but it makes sense to me). Work it out and let the Priest be the Priest

    Everyone is siding with Mick, he exposed the biggest frauds in rock.
    I get why K.K. is upset but when you retire from a band you helped form, you are at the mercy of the other guys doing right by you unless things were set up properly and often lawyers and management do not have the best interest of one individual within the band in mind.

    If Mars is really asking for 25% of tour $$$ then I support Motley you don’t get paid for a job your not doing and John 5 needs to get paid but if they are trying to cut him out of “ other revenue ( not there music catalog they sold that off ) then I support Mars

      If they have sold their music catalogue (read: publishing rights), he has nothing to collect. He should definitely not get any of the touring income now when he is retired - that is just ridiculous. If he have paid any pension funds (which I guess he hasn't), he get the lowest rates you can get in pension.

    In my oppinion....There would of never been a motley crue without mick or a judas priest without kk.
    Without their signature guitar work it wouldn't be what it is. If the bands don't want to pay original members after they leave, I think the replacements should have to pay to play original members music to not be seen as a fraud.
