You had me at Savage Sword of Conan, but lost me at Comic Mag Musings. ••• Those early issues are great. I just won issues 220-229 from a seller on ebay. I got them for a great price. I didn't get the seller down to $1 a piece like you however -- I'm just not that ruthless.
Hi Bill. I am 60. I've been collecting comic and magazines for 50 years. I have all those Mags: Zombie, Man-thing, Blade, Conan, Hulk, Creepy and Eerie as well. Thanks for the video, Bill.
hi, Aquaman. You must have quite the collection. Simon Garth, Hulk, Warren? Those are all titles I love, so you have wonderful taste in comics. 😉 I appreciate you watching and sharing.
Thanks for the back story ...definitely not a usual purchase circumstance. Although I bought most of my SS for cover price new, this has me trying to remember when I got my back issues. Less are recent, most were bought in the early-mid 80s...even then all I can recall is $2-$5, and I think perhaps some lower-numbered issues in the 90s for like $5-6. In my neck of the woods, mags were a little higher than regular comics. Long gone is finding $3 Eerie or other Warren, but back in the day, SS was worth more or at least on par. That has changed, just like when horror was cheap, no more. Some of the differences were regional too. We are in the paradoxical situation of wanting scores & deals but asset appreciation at the same time.
Very true, QNS. I suspect social media may have something to do with it, too. No one wants something if they don't know it exists. The horror comic market is a good example. PCH books are strong even in a down comic book market. Bronze age horror is finally getting it's due. Now, high-grade DC bronze horror can go for hundreds of dollars when it seems that no one wanted it 5 to 10 years ago.

I appreciate you watching, Tim!
I'll admit it...I'm jealous. Only twenty minutes away?!!
Hey, 64. We met about 20 minutes away from my house. I'm not sure where he lived. He may have been from the frozen wastelands of Cimmeria.
You saying you harassed that poor seller until he gave in?
You always know how to cut to the chase, James.

Nice Conan again mate, you should do a top 50 Conan covers series. Or a bottom 10 worst!
Thanks, greyman. Both, good ideas.
At my local LCS you cant touch a copy of those Conans for under 15 bucks you got a steal.
I was fortunate to find these books, Tim.

I never have, Jeffrey. I didn't even know ol' Bud was still slinging stuff.
