I like the manner in which the displacer cylinder had its hot and cold sides separated with those wooden flanges. That is very advantageous as most of the losses in this engine is because the energy is lost in the heat going from hot to cold ends without the energy making useful work on the power piston. Well done.
I have a problem, my engine won't start. I have read that the upper part of the chamer needs to be cooled and the lower part needs to be heated, how did you do yours??
What you have heard is correct. There must be a temperature differential between the top and the bottom. This engine is air cooled, so there is no extra cooling added. Many pop can engines are set up to use ice or cold water to keep one side cool.
This dude played his own drum track on his own video. Legend

This thing puts out a bit more power than what I'm used to seeing on youtube. It also makes a nice sound.
Very nice. might have to try that without the secondary side lines and use the thrust of one to shift the other.
La experiencia de construir un motor de 2 cilindros es interesante... saludos
nice how much mechanical energy does it produce? could it run a small generator? thanks
Were the cans empty??

can you tell me how you seal the opening for the spacer rod?
What glue did you use?
Sorry for my bad English
I'm a bit confused on the pressure chamber flange plates. Do you use a gasket of some kind to prevent air leaks between the plates?
Some gasket compound would suffice.
Keep looking. people have made the type of video you need.
Some can power a decent led light. Pretty sure that's the extent of its power on these scales...
hey this engine doesnt require anykind of fuel??
It requires a temperature difference. That is usually created with fuel of some kind.
can i use water as the fuel??
moreover what is the fuel used in the video??
+Saran Ghosal Liquid wax candles are used in this video. Since it is an external combustion engine you can use any fuel you want.
What did you use to stick the cans?
Probably high temperature silicon glue.
Carmel Pule' Thank you
damn, thats pretty cool! btw are you Scandinavian?
que altura tiene el cilindro y piston??
hay guys i couldn't understand what is happening at 0:50... he cut the upper and lower part and then again joined ? why ?
Those are the displacer pistons. They had to be reduced in size so that they fit inside the pressure chamber, which is also made of a pop can.
oh !!! yes i got your point...... thank you :-)
do you sell.. urgent
They're barely worth the material they're made of, sadly. They are really cool little machines.
Como e dificiu fazer
Dose beats doe
i mean what is giving thrust to the piston from bottom
this has to be a passive aggressive protest on youtube for making people have to have the rights to songs to put behind their videos....
Hello from post-AdPocalyptic RUclips
Que bateria é essa 🙉😹
It would be more efficient if you used steel wool instead of just an aluminum can
The Pink One - All research I found indicates that the gains are so small that they have almost no impact on these small models.
hay
Man! that is know as the second most boring drum beat in the world. Muted the video.
I totally agree
The song is soooo boring
Very annoying music!!
Oooooooooooaaaaahahahahaha aaaaaaa! Fake
Bemiary Judicael Stirling Engines are very real. I suggest you search a little further before you embarrass yourself any more.
