Now, you might have had a reason but I would have pour the pad up to the foundation wall so maintenance would have been minimal for grass/weeds. Great job in the underbelly, did you get a buzz without masks?
Watching you duck tape those wires reminded me of a old saying that I would like to share with you now so here goes, "If duck tape doesn't fix the problem it's because your not useing enough of it". There now I have said it.
It’s so impressive to see parents teach their children mechanical skills. Elijah even knew “brad nails” 😃. He’ll be a renovation champ just like Mom and Dad! And again, you all have beautiful property!

The CUTEST COUPLE on RUclips! and kiddos! Your opening backdrop is BEAUTIFUL!! If the leaves weren’t moving I’d think it was a picture! Great job and under your mobile is so nice! Love it!! Thank you!
I'm so glad that you are teaching your children how to be self sufficient in small doses. Believe me there are very few men left in this world that know how to do things. I'm excited for you to be cool and be able to sleep at night to. See you next video.. Hugs
Elijah is so eager to help and learn, and he does a great job! Well done Sam, you make it look easy, which probably its not but helps me a lot, and take your time explaining, thanks! Angela also explains with ease. Looking forward to the next one.
It’s real snug and tight under the trailer. A lot of times people don’t worry about the underbelly but that’s the most important part to take care of and keep sealed to keep critters out and dampness and mold out. Awesome job guys! Rented a mobile home once and my momma cat got up between the black material and insulation and decided that was where she needed to have her kittens. 😳 Now that was a nightmare getting her and them out of there. And he reads directions! 😮
Not sure if the name of the video that caused it (Into the Darkness...), but the RUclips ad that came up for me was for some Horror movie on Shudder. 😂
Good job guys , Elijah is one exceptionally bright boy , he's not afraid to get his hands dirty by helping his parents in any task . He has excellent qualities . Well done little guy . 👷 👊 . Amazing . . Keep up the excellent work and content . .
Good morning Sam & Angela! Your videos are so helpful and encouraging!! I've been remodelling my moms rentals for decades and there's one thing I never had the courage to do...electrical! After watching & subscribing to y'all's channel, just yesterday, wired in a receptacle in mom's mobile home! IT WORKED!! :D Thanks for your support in learning this new ability!!
P.S. My husband and I have been sticker shocked so many times, looking for an alternative heating and a/c system! Again, thanks to y'all, we now have our solution! A mini split!! Was wondering how many square feet is your mobile home and how well it's working? Thanks again! Best DIY team on RUclips!!
seriously considering a mini split.. glad I found your vids!. If nothing else that patch and spray I need to cover plumbing areas that were worked on a few years ago by plumbers. I've never seen that and of course plumbers who work on mobiles have never mentioned so I've a couple areas hanging with insulation and the cut up cover.
You have a great lights and video guy! You make this job look easy although I know it couldn't be real pleasant being under the mobile home in that heat!
Thanks for the links! I had to make a plumbing repair and now need to patch the underbelly on my home. I wasn't sure where to get the stuff! Now I know! I love your channel. I do watch on my TV via my ROKU box and it does not allow me to comment, so I have to drag out the laptop. Just wanted to let you know that I am here and watching and appreciate it. Ours is a 2004 model year so no rehab needed, but there is always stuff to repair with any home, so while I'll never install mini-splits or whatever, a lot of the things you do have skills that carry over.
We appreciate you taking the time to comment and let us know! We are also really happy that this was helpful for you and your home, good luck and thanks again!
Thanks for the info on the underbelly stuff! We have some holes under ours that we were about to patch. Now I’ve ordered that stuff and it’ll be done right.
OMG! You have the most adorable little boys. He was so excited to help you under the trailer. You both are such good parents. With all the weird stuff going on out there it’s nice to see wholesome family values are still being taught.
Hey great video Y’all. I just found your channel. I ordered the same 27k Mr. Cool about 2 weeks ago and still waiting on it. Im gonna watch your other videos on the install and im sure I will probably binge watch your other videos as well. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Awesome! Good luck with your install! Overall it's easy -- just take your time. :) We pushed and did our complete install in one day (minus concrete pad pour) and it was a killer! Edit to add: we subbed you back. Always enjoy seeing other good families on RUclips!
Look at Elijah take apart the concrete framing by himself! He is learning and growing up so fast! Remembering my own at that age, they grow up so fast!!
Good Morning Sam Angela & Elijah, awesome video & love to see what wonderful patience you both have for your precious sons!I don’t think I had that much patience with my own kids, but I sure do with my grandkids🥰Have a wonderful week ahead & an awesome 4th of July 🎉🪅🎊🎉👏👍
😂when y’all get it up and running it’s going to be hard to go back outside again 😂. Your helper is getting so good you need to put him on the payroll 😂. Can’t wait for the cool party coming soon🥶
First off, I love your channel and have learned so much from you guys! Secondly, I love how you both do the projects together and include the kids and you guys never seem like you never wanna ring each other's necks 😂 I've been looking at these mini split systems and the electric and how many indoor units I need is what I'm so unsure about. My fuse box is 100a. I live in Wisconsin so I don't want to get rid of my natural gas furnace completely because I'm so afraid that a mini split system may not be powerful enough for our coldest winter days and my water pipes run next to the duct run so that stops my water from freezing. I have some experience with running electric but it's like adding outlets and running new wire into existing breakers so I could relocate my water heater. So I am wondering if I would be able to run this without having to upgrade my whole electric panel. I have a 1985 Liberty 14x72. The living room is in the front, kitchen in the middle (no walls separating them) and a long hallway with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. So far I have just used a window unit in the kitchen window and that has cooled the house so it's not unbearable. My preferred temp is around 70 when there's low humidity. I was thinking if I get an 18,000btu unit with 1 indoor unit and mount it where my kitchen meets my hallway, it would be enough to keep me comfortable. Just wondering what you guys think? Thanks so much if you reply. If you don't I understand and will keep watching you guys.
Thank you so much for this video. I’m very strongly considering a split system because I have horrible moisture problems under my trailer from duct work that was left on the ground by an installer. It’s caused the belly board (that’s what we’ve always called the fabric) to fail in many spots and we got rats last winter (it’s a vacation home at the NC coast so it was a huge surprise and expense…please keep fixing those holes underneath…you don’t want critters). Anyways, can you elaborate a little bit about the wiring you did? Everything in your videos looks so familiar, because I’ve done a lot myself (I was practically gifted the trailer so I’ve had to figure out a lot myself). I have a full heat pack with fan outside the trailer now so there is some wiring to that. Btw, since I’ve never used the blower/heater in the trailer I made a pantry above it to utilize the space. If you’ve read this much, thank you so much and thank you for any advice. I love what y’all are doing and absolutely love that you’re doing it together and with your kids. Your channel it just so great!! Judy
If you have an existing HVAC system you may be able to use that power wiring. Or you many need to wire a new circuit to the new system. It all depends on what you have and what your new system needs. In this video we used the old furnace wire again. However, we have since moved the home to another state and when setting it back up we ran a dedicated circuit - 40 amp, 240v from the main panel outside.
The timing on these videos is very fortuitous. Our ductwork is trashed in our early 80's MH, $3k to have it replaced and keep our 12 SEER unit, $8k to have a triple-head mini-split installed, or slightly more than $3k to go the route you guys have gone and end up with a 22 SEER system. Now if they were just back in stock so I can get it ordered....
I have been enjoying your videos. My husband is redoing our single-wide trailer and has added an addition onto it. We were interested in purchasing the adhesive you mention in your video, the Miracle SPM-1330. I have tried to find it on the internet but haven't been able to. I also see that the spray adhesive you have linked at Amazon is a different item. Can you tell us where you were able to purchase the Miracle SPM-1330? Thank you so much.
The Miracle spray is what we received when ordering. According to some other websites, it's the new brand or replacement spray. Either one is great from our reading.
We have a wall mounted blue flame propane heater that can run without electricity. However where we live heat pumps will work year round with no issues. We keep the propane heater for winter power outages, even though they're rare here.
Elisha is the cutest, and a hard worker like his mom and Dad. Wouldn't you need to put that supply wire through some plastic to protect against chaffing? I'm no expert, just curious. Bloopers always make me 😁. I don't look forward to getting under the house 😖
Me: Honey, do we have a membrane under our house? Hubby Honey: Yes, but it has holes in it. Bingo! He finally watched at least part of your video and just maybe we'll be getting those holes patched--just maybe! Thanks for sharing all the details.
Anything else might have been just idle jabbering. They are great teachers and right to the point in a friendly and entertaining way. Not too little and not too much, but just right
I get it babe I just wish the videos was a little longer I love your channel so once I see you post I get so excited to come and watch and I won't lie I was a little disappointed that it was so short but I do understand also just so you know I have bought your soap in the past and it's been amazing keep up the great work guys
Can you please tell me If you’re happy with the units that you chose for AC and some other advantages of them versus me just going again and paying $6000 for an AC unit installed in on 1000 square-foot little mobile home thank you
We're 100% happy with their performance and quality! Worst part is they're kind of ugly with the hoses on the outside of the home, but a happy trade off for us.
