- In this video you can ride along on Bundesstraße B43 & B44 from Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA) to Frankfurt am Main city in Germany's Hessen state. Frankfurt am Main is one of Europe's largest airports and the largest / busiest airport in Germany.
Frankfurt am Main is a large banking / financial hub in Europe and home to many big financial institutions, rivalling the likes of London and New York. With its 650.000 inhabitants it has quite an impressive skyline, something you don't really see elsewhere in Germany. Most of the higher towers in the city center are office buildings (mostly banks / financial), although in recent years more of the newer towers are also residential. The downtown district is nicknamed 'Mainhattan', being situated on the Main river banks.
The B43 / B44 connection is one of the main ones to get into the city from the airport, although the extensive Autobahn network can also be used. The well-known A3 runs passed the airport, as does the A5. Further regional Autobahns like the A66, A661, A67 & A60 form the city's circumference.
I decided to make a bit of a detour once I reached downtown just to show some parts of the city, although traffic got quite intense as you can see.

Nice City Tour...modern with skyscrapers but i like old city centers and buildings .
ALEN HODZIC😊😊😊
Frankfurt is certainly not my favourite city. The after-war architecturen of the 50s is simply horrible bland, architectural value zero. 🤫😬🤔 No wonder many of these buildings not even last half a century. Luckily the Turm und Taxis Palais was reconstructed (just before the end of the vid). Although a skyscraper set had to built next to it by the project developer. 😢😮😂
There are more cities out there that didn't take the example of Dresden... Stuttgart is also an example. FFM did however take a clear direction and profiled itself as the skyscraper city of Germany. From a distance it looks cool anyway 😉
@@nielsontheroad the skyscrapers are alright, but the rest of the city ... So my advice is to look up in Frankfurt 😁😜
