The Schwarzwald region is known for its higher than average number of days of rain. Guess it's the effect of the mountains surrounding the Rhine valley. On one westside the Vosges in France and the Schwarzwald on the other. I've spent some camping trips in the Schwarzwald and never experienced that kind of soaking wet rainfall ever. and also three times in a row. So nowadays I always stay in a hotel in that region :) That tunnel complex in Freiburg, guess the Germans couldn't built a ring road around the city due to the hills? But going straight through the city ..... :(

Yea whenever I drive this it's raining actually. Freiburg is interesting. It's a very green-oriented student city with infrastructure for cyclists. It's not like they are getting no money from the state. I also think it's odd that traffic is still navigated through the city.
