@@sharpaycutie2 Pretty much all of them do, but most shows in the past decade have relied more on an actor's vocal skills than their ability to connect to lyrics and bring them to life. Not saying that vocal skills are a bad thing, as long as they come from a storytelling place rather than just for the sake of it. These shows use more singers who act rather than actors who sing, if that makes sense.

@@carolynbrown2655 Of course he did, that's what I'm saying lol! I'm talking about the past decade, pretty much every stage adaptation of a film that was carelessly made as a cash grab. This show is gonna help revive the kind of musical theatre that Sondheim made us fall in love with.

We saw this yesterday, and I was in tears for basically the whole show
Just had the privilege of seeing this tonight! And I can't wait for more of the music to come out. I am dying to relive it again and again. It was breathtaking. Heart wrenching writing and performances by all. I can't believe I got to see something so beautiful. Thank you.
I had complete chills the entire time. The song took me on a journey. Between the tension piano chords created with its dissonance and the singers voice! She is such a story teller! I felt every word. I love the quiet rasp in her voice, especially in the choruses and the controlled break she would do in the verses. She is phenomenal! I heard about this musical but this is the first song I have listened to and just wow! I need more. I’m gonna listen to this on repeat. I love that contemporary musical theater feels like musical you can listen to in any time because it feels so current like music you’d hear on the radio. I love the big spectacle of musical theater as well but something about new age theater really hits your heart!
While I think 'The Notebook' is highly overrated, this song is soooo good! I love that you're writing a show! And I also love how singable it is for amateurs. It's a very comfortable range and requires no belting. Love it!

I learned about this song two hours ago and I’ve listened to it 20 times. Just incredible work. I know the musical has nothing to with this, but it immediately took me back to becoming a parent for the first time and all the emotions that come with that. Beautiful.
Just saw the preview on broadway.. it was great.. the seamless transition between the old, young and new noah and ally was a thing of beauty..

This is one of the best new songs I’ve heard in musical theater in years. It has such depth lyrically and musically. It just brings tears to my eyes. So excited for this to come to broadway in February!

if this is the future of musical theater writing, it's embarrassing. Pretty melody, but the lyrics sound like they were written by AI ... there's no idea or angle, it's just a salad of every cliche and trope about love. completely unspecific to the character. lazy
