fun fact: the rev (the drummer) has an incurable heart condition (enlarged heart) and was told that he might live until 30. he actually wrote a song called "fiction" 3 days before he passed away, in the lyrics he wrote "promise me you'll never feel afraid" like a message for the rest of the band. and in this song "so far away", they said "sleep tight, i'm not afraid" in respond to the lyrics the rev wrote for them, their way of saying "its okay brother, rest in peace, we promise we're not going to feel afraid". 😭
The Rev was a major songwriter in the band, amazing talent, check out the song Fiction from the same album, the rev wrote and recorded it 3 days before he passed away, it’s definitely emotional
Hi Dexter Fletcher & Mrs Fletcher. I've seen A7X lots of times but i only got to see them once with REV (R.I.P) in 2008 at Twickenham stadium when they supported Iron Maiden. It was a privilege, so was your thoughtful reaction.😔
It doesn't matter how many times I watch reactions to this song it always ends the same way with me teary eyed. Thank you all at BPP for showing ultimate respect to out fallen brother, he was the best there ever was and ever will be
@Hot Action Kop Thank you very much for the support. We have a Live show every two weeks on a Sunday, the next one wil be the coming Sunday at 19:30 UK time, we have a bit of fun if you fancy joining in. Also, check out our playlists and other videos. We always try and reply to comments were we can and we look forward to hearing from you soon. All the best and Cheers
There are theories on either the drummer took his life or died from an accidental overdose. He suffered from an enlarge heart and had to take medicine. He died from a brompton cocktail (medicine mixed with alcohol), though was never confirmed by the band wether it was suicide or not. Fiction is a song written by him, which he recorded and gave to the singer 3 days before his passing, in which you can hear some vocals sung by him (in the lyric video red lyrics are sung by The Rev). As well as Brompton Cocktail which the Rev stated that the singer had written lyrics anyone could relate to. Sorry for any grammatical errors, greetings from Mexico! And great reaction as well.

@Marc Roach Hi Marc, thanks for the comment and for the support. Check out our other content, we go all over the place and you will see the other BP1 on other reactions. Mrs. BP2 has only just started to join me on reactions. Thanks for the recommendations too
@Chuey's Mama You are very welcome, hope you are feeling better and more of "your cup of tea" music coming up next weekend with me and Mrs.BP2 All the best
He has a very different kind of voice, from full metal to somber and emotional. That guitar went back and forth from weeping to sounding anguished. Mrs BP2 wanted it ramp up to a harder sound! 😁 Welcome to the harder side of rock.😊 If you want a harder song of theirs Nightmare id definitely one but fair warning there a few F bombs in it. An amazing cover to check out would be the band Bad Wolves doing Zombie by the Cranberries They did in tribute to Dolores. Yes, I hear a Metallica sound in there as well. I also think Mrs.BP2 is right to a slight sound of a Guns and Roses sound as well. I cant picture which song though. Speaking of Metallica. Have you ever heard Nothing Else Matters them performing it with Miley Cirus? I never would have that would work but it's amazing! I don't like her early work but she was born for hard rock.
I really enjoyed this one (if 'enjoyed' is the right word.. always tricky finding the right way to describe meaningful songs). I'm not at a 10, but it's definitely a good 9 for me 😊 Poor BP1 getting trolled , bless his terrible-timing- pausing heart 😅😅😅
@EnderOllie 4 It's always amazing that these heavy bands can always come up with wonderful "Rock Ballads" that catch you right off guard and obviously the meaning to the song hit heavy too. Well, he has one job, pause in the right place!! 😅😅 Thanks for watching
Actually I’ve never heard of them. I also picked up a Metallica - “Nothing Else Matters” vibe from parts of the song. I did spend some time in Huntington Bch, many years ago, where they apparently hail from. Very cool town at that time. Just don’t try to surf their pier, uninvited. 🎟 🏄♂ 🥊
@psidvicious Not sure how I missed them, but I will certainly look back at some of their earlier work. We did a few reactions early on the channel, "Hail to The King" much heavier and also" A Little Piece of heaven" and that was VERY strange and sort of put us off a little. Thanks for watching

Hi Gary, thanks for the comment, I am at a loss as to why I didn't pick up on them earlier, I enjoyed this one.

The Avenged history is amazing: a band that grew up together and does their own thing
