1. He's in sport mode. It's a one make race, everyone drives the formula car. You have to buy it I think, it's like 1 mil 2. GT Sport isn't that different, just real tracks, if you drive 45 kilometres in a day (about 10 minutes of racing a fast car) you get a free car, pretty neat. Play with a wheel, it gives you an advantage over the competition. One other thing, make money by doing career or just plain quick race. Or do AFK races if that's your thing to keep ur PS4 on for 12 hours (search it up.)
When they exited the corner they were just slightly off track, I think a portion of the wheel needs to be on the tarmac. They were pretty good at being right on the edge throughout the race.
I just rewatched, so in the case, i think the red rumble bars are included in the track limits, but if you look they got the penalty when they went fully onto the green patch.
If you can feather the throttle just enough in first gear as you pass the apex and begin to climb the hill with TC off, or set to 1 you can get .100-.150 extra drive down the straight. Easier to do in practice for sure than the race.
Why do you ride the rumble strips before almost every turn in? Putting a tire on it makes sense, but driving the whole car up and on it doesn't make any sense. I'm assuming GT doesn't do a great job in that regard. In real life, that would absolutely kill your lap time and destroy the floor of the car.
the engine sound in GT is just opure shit man... love the game but the sound sometimes feels like its from rc cars or something...and the tyre screeching... jesus... as if you can hear the tyre screeching in formula cars...

For maximum acceleration out of T3 short shift to 2nd on the exit. Redlining 1st gear and then shifting doesn't seem to work very well in this car.

So you need enginebrake with the 1st gear
