Having a character tied to leveling up flasks in DS1 adds some nice tension, especially early game. But it's also a rare enough interaction that it's not just annoying like having leveling tied to a character. That moment when you lose the firelink firekeeper is such absolute panic and it's an equal relief when you get her back (tho ofc there are other ones). It adds some connection to a character which they can use to really fuck with you but also give you that high of finding one/saving one. The fact that there's also not too many firekeeper souls but each one is very powerful is great too. Really makes it hit so much nicer the rare times you do find one, compared to the billions you find in the latter games which just makes you go "ok". Also, there's no need to max out the flask and instead it adds something to progress in NG+. Sure, PVP is one argument but you can still level to the penultimate flask level in NG so not a huge deal. The kindling mechanic is also chad af, it's an interesting decision to make about where you commit your valuable humanity that the other games don't have.
Honestly, i kinda wish there was more utility with flasks. I honestly wish there was something that actually benefitting from customizing flasks to tailor gameplay. Also if you argue that as an exploit, not everyone can do estus cancel, then that is just invalid, because estus cancel is one of the easiest techs to learn in any game I've ever played. Watch a tutorial and you will be able to flawlessly estus cancel 100 times out of 100 after like 30 minutes of practice max.
Also if you dont use honest merchant to make your pvp builds in ds3 (giving yourself max siegbrau etc) then you are just actively giving yourself a disadvantage at that point, same with starlight shards and extra wonderous physicks etc in elden ring via grand merchant.
All these jokes are the biggest reach I’ve ever seen in my life
Bro did not hold back💀💀
14 flasks* "It's disgusting"
15 flasks* "OMG its perfect!!"
Customizable Physick and the “Hearts” from Remnant 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Literally everything else

Dude lol me too best souls game there is lol drops often enough fiffrent types give you different amounts it's awsome
“Why dyou only have 14 when everything hits like a truck??” Idk man maybe jus like, get good or something, crazy huh
Since when is He so unhinged?!? I love it tho 😭
Thumbnail looks like my “healing flask”
My bro is going hard on ranking everyfuckinthing and I’m here for it
A small portion of my first run my I had my physik flask set up to heal me until I learned I could use it for buffs on top of the incantations I had.
The realization I had when I could stack the buffs I felt so dumb😂
now there needs to be a part 3 talking about the rest of the dark souls 2 healing items, theres a lot of them.
bro skipped dark souls 2 and thought we wouldn't notice
I got to a point in Elden ring where it was easier to dodge that pop off a heal since I always mistime them😭
I got a bong that looks like a crimson tear flask. Found it at a headshop in the 30 dollar section. Best 30 dollar spent ever
Thumbnail got me thinking this was gonna be an estus bong.
You can drink the flasks while moving and if you kill a group of enemies it restores a couple flasks in elden ring aswell
The kindling mechanic is also chad af, it's an interesting decision to make about where you commit your valuable humanity that the other games don't have.
basically ds1 IS the best imo
Dude insulted the elden ring community and now hes got a bounty on his head
dark souls 2 its like a wine expert the way you take your time to enjoy the estus
Honestly, i kinda wish there was more utility with flasks. I honestly wish there was something that actually benefitting from customizing flasks to tailor gameplay. Maybe i dont want a bunch of FP flasks at all, but something more like a buff or skill buff or even a strong AOE debuff. Maybe i want to have my heals go over time but for a larger heal amount.
I feel like having these so "static" actually hinders build creativity and i feel the flask of wondrous physick could have had more done for it.
I actually really like how in ds1 summons couldn't use estus, but got healed when the host uses it.
It felt a lot more balanced and actually gave healing miracles a reason to exist
Worst rating there has been
No his music ranking was much worse
I like the tears flasks because my friend keeps calling them the red and blue testicles
the thumbnail made me think it was a elden bong
Bloodborne: **injects infinite crack viles**
never let bro cook again
1st game was so subtle and creepy
Dark Souls 2 flask: My dissappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
‘look at that clean drinking animation’ as the gourd is floating above his hand
Also just a slightly faster flask animation animation. I don't think this guy has played alot of souls games he did even know what ng+ was
My guy, it's tied to his arm, nor floating
Need a part one brother 😊
You can max DS1s flasks out in NG, just gotta search for the firekeeper souls
And who do you give the keeper soul to? Pray tell
@@TimothyGod considering you can't kill Anastacia, you can kill the other 2 and give her their souls
@@katthekhajiit610 do you remember her questline? Lautrec klling her, and taking her soul, which if you wanted to use to upgrade your flask, you would lose access to firelink shrine. So it's either, use her to upgrade your flask, and leave out her soul, or use her soul to upgrade, and miss out on a different fire keeper. You cannot max the flask
Crimson tears also refills after beating a group of enemies and killing crimson scarabs
Where are my fellow grass eaters?
Hell is getting stuck talking to you in a social situation
DS2 Estus: "Hello everyone, welcome back to another drink review, this time we have Estus..."
