I don't record vocals too much but I got autotune access and waves tune real time, and mautopitch and graillon, which sre both free, for backup. These four are great on simple vocal projects. Tho autotune pro is always the choice for deep dive productions, something I will pick up if I ever need
I studied Autotune since I started 6 yrs ago, started with Adobe Autotune 2 years into my journey, went from voloco app, then used Autotune 6, before upgrading to AT 8.1 but now I use Autotune pro X ✋👀 a 2 in 1 plug-in it’s worth it 😂
Another great one! Metatune is another pretty good tuning plugin made by slate digital. I dont know if you’ve ever heard of it. Personally, I think it's a little easier than antares autotune and nectar. Antares is stronger, but metatune sounds better out the box. I use them both, just depends on a few variables 1 being processing powers being used or speed I want to work in. Each track you put metatune on automatically connects to the previous instances settings. I use nectar as well and I use it for the ai it has when mixing. I also have melodyne and it's suuuuper advanced and in-dept like autotune pro x. It can come out really good or really bad depending on the users patience and understanding of scales 😂 This is a really informative video bro. Keep them coming.
I guess my timing is on point 🤣 but yea I mean… $25 a month is not a bad option. Way I see it is pay for it when you’re actively working on songs. And when you aren’t, maybe just cancel and resusbcribe when you are. That’s what my cheap 🍑 would do. Lmao
You can do whatever you’d like to get the sound you want but typically what you don’t want to do is have 2 different pitch correction plugins correcting your pitch. So if you’re using one purely for effects and the other purely for tuning, that would be ok.

Try waves tune. Or if you want something free, try. Mautopitch by Melda productions. I have been demoing waves over the last couple of days and it’s really easy to use. I like the Melda one better if I want that whole robot thing from the radio. Because I seen mostly in tune, the waves one doesn’t seem to give me much of a robot thing. Melda has a setting that my voice a little bit before the processing kicks in so I get way more robot lol. Not an expert, but I hope this helps.
You can get a robotic voice with any tuner plugin. All you have to do is crank down the retune speed and note transition. Doesn't matter which plugin you use. You can even use built in pitch correctors to do this.
The 4th you mentioned you use yourself a lot got frustrating to watch because you failed to show the software and instead it was you talking for too long without what’s there, that you need to notice in case you haven’t picked up on it since the upload a year ago. Great video all around. Need a redo of this big time as logic is getting AI and also there is new software for Mac and iPad is being announced in a few days. A great opportunity for a revisit. Logic Pro for sure will be receiving another update on top of it.

Could you automate the auto tune to leave the vibrato parts alone?
On which plug-in? As shown in the vid, some of them have vibrato knobs you can turn to leave the vibrato alone.
