Brian........We started my 1970 Honda cb350 last night after 2 years and 9 months....will send you a video of this bike shortly....you are the main source of this rebuild. I cannot thank you enough for your Utube videos that offered absolute timely and valuable help restoring my bike......A test drive will occur shortly. There are a few tweaks, seat, gas tanks, side covers to install but it started right up. Saw an oil leak on the tach side cover. Found we had the gasket backwards but now corrected. I have never been on the road on a motorcycle so my nephew, Jason, who has been riding bikes for years and assisted in the rebuild will take the initial run.....Don't even want to talk about the total cost....lol
Brian, A very cool project getting that bike back on the road after it sat for so long. Your dedication and sharing each segment of the build will inspire many of us to care for our older bikes or seek out ones that just need some TLC. Congrats!
That’s great job well done,I had one of these In 1968 Grea😢memories but not appreciated at the time!I covered so28000 miles on it! The only change I made was to fit racing valve springs, and a Blue and White Faring it would rev to 10500 I was not aware of, that at the time because the taco was reading wrong , my friend at the time I was leaving him behind, so we swapped out. The speedo/Taco/ unit , the only issues I had was , a broken piston ring which caused it to blow oil out of the breathe tube on the top of the head, unfortunately I needed to get to work , so I Removed the oil filler and popped the pipe in , so the oil was returned to the crank case I used it for two weeks ! On stripping it down there was no damage to the bore a set of new rings and all was well. The onl. Other event was I had redone the tapits and not tightened up the tappit cover , only a quarter way through a 249 mile journey , I had to utilise a plastic vending cup the front cover had come off , so I swapped it for the one above the carb ,and fitted it in to the tappit hole,to stop me loosing oil , this lasted until I could get ab replacement. Other than that you’ve done an excellent job on restoration of the Honda , my only comment is the Tappits sound a bit noisy, Great job !
I picked up a replacement face decal. The original is still under there is someone wanted to go back to the faded original. Just a replica decal. Worked out great…getting the thing apart and needles off was a different story. Lol.
3 grand. That's a deal to get that bike back looking that awesome, running that great! If you were adding labor cost to the bill, I wonder what that would be. A lot. Do you keep track of your hours at all? Just to look back when you're done and compare it to other projects?
Great job! It’s a head turner for sure! Impressive work : ) sounds really nice 👍
Thanks, Jason. Glad you approve!
I just bought a 67 cb77, gonna be interesting watching your vids to help me repair this one.
I hope the videos have been useful.
Absolutely great work!!! Better than new!! Greetings from Italy! 🙂👋
Thank you so much! Super excited to wrap this one up.

Nice job valves need adjust
Have since been adjusted.
Love it!
Thanks, man!
Surprising how hard it is to find many of these, nice job! Valves sound a little clattery?
It’s needed some adjusting but overall came out great
Awesome CB77!!! How did you cleanup the speedometer face? Thank you and enjoy your hard work on that Superhawk!

I need to keep track of hours better. I don’t know if I even want to know! Lol
Wow great restoration. Where in MI are you? I travel to MI from IL.
SE MI Ann Arbor area.
I am restoring a 63 cb77 same color. Where did you get the blue and cloud silver paint?
Cloud silver from boats.com. PB5 electric blue available at R & E paint supply
🙂👍☕
Cheers
Awesom!… how much would that cost in a ‘70 Cl350 Honda?
I think it’s about 2-3 grand to one right. Depending on what you start with and how far you go.
