The fact that he got a shiny starter that’s female that has the perfect nature that also has fricking pokerus is absolutely insane, actually complete bull luck like you’re probably the kind of person to hit 6 iron head flinches in a roll, while also getting under odds for 4 shinies is crazy, probably bc of gastly lol.
I wanna know the full odds
1/35,790,848,000 is about the odds of this happening
1/8192 for the shiny at all
1/8 for female
1/25 for a specific nature
~1/21845 for pokerus
and to be more specific multiply that by 3 for it being specifically tododile which would be *1/107,372,544,000*
Chances and probability are weird as hell so this may not be 100% accurate but it defo puts it into perspective how rare this is

@@da_xbox360well that is calculating the odds for specifically Totodile per starter reset. They are all independent events, so nothing complicated for the calculations, just simple multiplication. My personal recommendation would be to calculate for the odds of that happening for any of the starters, so drop the 1/3, but factoring in the 1/31 for the perfect attack IV
Factoring in shiny, 31 ATK IV, perfect nature, female, AND Pokerus, this Totodile has a 8.73E-11% chance of existing.
If my calculations are right, you'd have a better chance at winning the lottery than replicating this Totodile.
I’m sorry, but Shiny, Female, Adamant natured Totodile with Pokerus is actually insane.

It being female and having pokerus is insanely rare. I've only encountered it in the wild once in pokemon platinum while also getting my first shiny ever with staravia.

@@truncatedGrip First mon was a 1/35 billion, the heracross was a 1/400 thousand, he would be hunting til' this day if those mons had even the slightest chance of being legit.
I don't think anything in this video was fake, I just think he should have powered through with the Sassy Male, because otherwise is cheating. Weird flex to do a HC Nuzlock via cheating, but go off I guess.

funny about the spearow named ho-oh...when I was a kid and saw the first episode of the anime, I 100% thought ho-oh was a fearow. so I caught one, raised it to an absurd level, and got mad it never became magical and shiny like in the show. 10/10

@@Josh-sh6oy The totodile in the beginning is 1 in 35 billion, the heracross with a perfect nature and the preffered ability is 1 in 400 thousand. He cheated them in, the dude's using an emulator so it'd be pretty easy as well.

I agree. He swapped out a -spd nature for adamant and changed swarm to guts?! He's good enough to beat the game without cheating like that. Like if you're going to cheat why even do a nuzlocke challenge at that point? Playing pokemon normally with only getting shinies is still a good video.

Bro, the fight between you and Red was so awesome because I was imagining Deku (Feraligatr) & the Blastoise in an actual animated battle where the two Pokemon were at the end of their ropes and one falls. Kind of like a Samurai fight or Cowboy standoff. Love the dedication of 2 years to the craft!

Was it really necessary to swap Heracross' nature and ability? C'mon dude...first you use regular shiny odds for legitimacy and then you use PKHex to change a pokémon's stats to your liking?

Why is Totodile always the shiny? Smant got a Totodile, you got two totodiles, when I tried this I also got a Totodile. The Shiny Gods just really like Totodile.
For the people talking about the cheating, I typically group Poketubers into two categories: storyteller and technician. Kidd is all about the narrative, rather than showing us all the move deliberations and damage calcs. The fact that he killed the shiny Ho-Oh after hunting it puts him solidly in the category. Having the transgender Heracross makes the story more interesting, so I go with it. If pchal did something like that, I'd be seriously annoyed because he's all about the numbers.
Also, the one Poketuber that I think fits across both categories is FlygonHG. He somehow manages to go into the nerdy details and still tell a good story. Totally underrated.

My first shiny was also a makuhita I found in granite cave! For whatever reason, I thought it was pokerus, which I did know about (I think the anime had mentioned it?) because I didn't know what a shiny was

I recently got my hands on a copy of HG and played it for the first time and honestly, I didn’t struggle with Whitney either. However, Bugsy kicked my ass twice before I got the eventual win. That was only because of Onix too
