What's Next? Career Pathway Opportunities for Nursing Assistants

This panel discussion on 10/15/24 featured 5 former nursing assistants who have advanced into higher paying roles in healthcare including a lead medical assistant, registered travel nurse, psychiatric registered nurse and nurse practitioner, social worker, and associate chief nursing officer. Tune in to hear them describe their current roles, the journey they took to get there, and their advice to others who are beginning their careers in health.
This event was designed for alumni and participants from one of the Good Jobs Challenge-funded nursing assistant training programs hosted by UI Health, RUSH, Loyola Medicine, UChicago Medicine, or Lurie Children’s in partnership with Tukiendorf Training Institute, Valparaiso University, and Malcolm X Community College.
