Remember, weird doesn’t mean bad
Edit: don’t look at the reply’s lol
but his weird is: you're another nationality. which in itself is very weird. new video: top 10 weird music channels
Sometimes weird is really good.
Weird is a synonym for unique.
Doesn't exactly mean good either.
It does when is Mac Sabbath
Wasn't expecting Bloodywood or the Hu here, but damn do they deserve the attention
Yeah are hardly call them weird how do they fit weird and Rammstien doesn't?
That Igorrr song was fucking fire. Goosebumps when the drums kicked in
When they sampled a vacuum cleaner, my soul left my body
Igorr is great
igorrr is the right example of nintendocore
@@afatsantos7732 Sounds like deathglitch
Was THAT.... CORPSEGRINDER?
GWAR surprisingly has some legit good songs and there concerts well are wild and fun
My favorite GWAR songs is Maggots.
@@seanrosenau2088 don't know much about them but the cover in the video was awesome
I had a Gwar movie on vhs as a kid mid 90s and there was basically nothing (that had any recognition at least) at that time as over the top as them. Then as a young adult I took my mother to see them. Word of advice: wear a raincoat cause we got sprayed by something out of his huge grotesque you know what..my mom was pretty speechless but the look on her face was worth it !!
@@seanrosenau2088 MAGGOTS ARE FALLING LIKE RAIN!
@@casey8378 that “spray” is what I meant by wild. But yeah they are great to watch in person one of the best live acts to see and experience
Love that you included Okilly Dokilly. You should've included Green Jelly too, though.
Clown Core is genius. I also recommend Uratsakidogi (Black Metal\Rap with a humorous twist) and Drumcorpse (Grind\metal\breakcore) Experimental music is awsome, and mixing generes
I love Uratsakidogi!
Ю-Рат-Сцаки-Доги рулят! Блэкхоп форева!
I’m a big clown core fan
@@Toilet27 How *BIG* are you??? 🤯
Igorrr is fuckin' amazing. Nothing weird about him at all. Amazing production.
igorrr is a nintendocore / 8bit metal
@@afatsantos7732 This track is but not all his songs
I love The Hu. They're not weird. Mongol throat music invented metal.
I love the Hu. My sister and I saw them a couple years ago at a small club..... tickets were $20.00. In August they are playing at Shoreline Amphitheater with 5 Finger Death Punch and Megadeth. Depending on what's going on with Covid-19, I'm going to see them it will be way different going alone. My sister died of Covid-19 the end of January and I'm still having some lingering symptoms. Sorry for the sad direction that took.... looking forward to seeing all 3 of these bands again.
I've been listening to The Hu for a few years now. They are great!
They are weird
The hu, Bloodywood, aren't weird, they're awesome!
@@debibrewster9080 we are going!!!
Wait, Mac Sabbath is an Ozzy Osbourne/Ronald McDonald Parody band? OMFG, I LOVE IT!!!
Yeah all the songs are about how bad fast food is for you. Super fun live show.
MaC Sabbath is N°1 👍
Was happy to see that I was familiar with 9 of 10, and that I don't dislike anything of them. I actively listen to half of them. The rest I can take or leave. Nice compilation!
Holy Sh!t. That Boston cover by Gwar was amazing.
Hell yeah I saw Mac Sabbath live a few years ago in Detroit and it was soooo much fun!!!
Thank you for this. My body is ready for this.
I like how between The Hu and Okilly Dokilly is just a few second segment of Iwrestledabearonces song Boat paddle. Don't know if it was intentional but that band should be definitely on this list. Highly recomend to try
Check Spiritbox. Same core of musician ship
Im sorry but how in the actual hell did you KNOW it was the song just from 1 second of audio
@@AverageHomelessMan Because it is awesome song with pretty unique sound and funny music video
@@mestkalukas7460 That's great. I give you credit n respect. And that's from reading only one letter of your comment.
Seen Okilly Dokilly, Hu, and Igorrr. All incredible live
If by weird you mean "FUCKING AMAZING!" then you nailed it !
Clown Core and Igorrr are cutting edge shit and all the others are just fun as HELL !
Feels like no one who made this list listens to metal. Or knows how to edit a video.
Bloodywood sounds awesome, I'd definitely check them out. Kuburan doesn't sound metal. Lots has been said about the Hu but I dunno, I find it hard to really get into them. I'll try again, see what others get that I don't....
Try Nine Treasures or Tengger Cavalry if you like metal but The Hu doesn't do the trick for you. I always considered The Hu more like biker rock than metal tbh, but that's not to say they are bad.
Bloodywood is actually great >< HOW DARE YOU PUT THE HU IN THIS LIST?!!? and GWAR?! >< OMG
That bloodywood song was a vibe
They're not saying that the bands are bad, just that they are different. Weird doesn't always mean bad.
Bloodywood is awesome!
Dude, check out Igorrr.
You should fall in love with their music.
@@seanrosenau2088 The Hu and Bloodywood aren't exactly weird, though, either. They're just not western, which is the only reason why they were put in this list, so they shouldn't be on here.
The HU is actually really good
Gwar covering Foreplay/Longtime just made me gain a huge amount of respect for them.
They are so worth seeing live. If you haven’t had a chance check em out next time they are close to you.
Bloodywood, the Hu and Ningen Isu are definitely not weird metal bands. They are some of my favorite bands. They all play awesome music. Ningen Isu have been around for 30+ years. Bloodywood have played at Wacken Open Air. The Hu have some the best videos around. They're like mini movies.
Weird doesn't mean bad by any means. I'd still agree on the fact they aren't weird.
Bloodywood is fucking awesome, it's like if Zack De La Rocha became vocalist of an Indian folkish version of Disturbed. They are a lot underrated, their songs could easily plays on any rock radio.
I also liek a lot Nanowar Of Steel and Kontrust.
Bloodywood sounds like an Indian Blood Stain Child, who are an edm/trance influenced melodic death metal band, with a little rapping on the side. And yes they are awesome Also check out their cover of Tunak Tunak Tun, for anyone not yet in the know.
I completely agree with this. Particularly Bloodywood, words cannot describe the emotions and messages their songs convey. Not to mention the social work they've done in addition to the music
Ningen isu 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bloodywood is absulute insane! They are so f*kn great! It's absolute true, insane doesn't mean bad
Damn I was diggin' The Hu but you only gave them like 6 seconds play time! Gotta look up some of these bands!
*Common knowledge: GWAR=Rulers of all Space and Time*.
(Especially from the Dairy Queen in Norfolk, VA (can't remember which one) to the 633rd parsec NNE of Red Dwarf Boran C-14).
This stuff hardly counts as weird compared to what else is out there. Some of these are just bringing their own culture into music while using very generic chords, meaning it couldn't be more normal.
Bloodywood kicks ass. Love the fusion between trad and metal.
Weird is like GHOST and MARILYN MANSON, for their "over the top" fashion style while adding nothing new to the genre, "out-of-the-box" is what describe most of these bands, means they pushed their creativity to the limit that made them sound and look awesome. Kuburan(eng: grave) is from my country by the way and they're pretty much a dead band
MM isn't weird?
This is a nice list. Surprised Gnome wasn’t on here, but pretty stoked I’ve got to see quite a few of these. Alien Weaponry would be a good add since they are an amazing metal band who also covers great material in their Native tongue. The Mac Sabbath video reminds me of the old school MTV Deathmatch and Sepulturas Ratamahatta video. Pretty sweet.
you had me until bloodywood and the HU. Those guys are legit and amazing. To group them in with some of these less serious acts and call them weird degrades them IMO.
Your interpretation of "weird" as having negative connotations degrades anybody with any level of uniqueness and individuality.
@@dehumanizedanomaly3413 not my interpretation of weird. I agree with you completely I see weird as being synonymous with uniqueness and individuality. But the video listed bands that are themselves meant to be parodies, and I don’t agree with that as the characterization of Bloodywood or The HU. So maybe you didn’t watch the video you just saw weird and degrade and thought you’d white knight some introverts but maybe follow along better next time.
@@nerddub I simply didn't take anything in the video as intending to be parodic...
Bloodywood is definitely not weird... It's pretty standard folk metal. Same with The Hu.
Yes but the only difference is that The Hu come off as epic whereas Bloodywood just sounds like they discovered Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and, dare I say, Rage Against the Machine two decades too late and just threw some Hindi in the mix to say "we're Indian". Rotting Christ is from Greece and pretty much nailed "Indian Metal" in their song entitled Devadevam. They set the bar pretty damn high too. If only Bloodywood had done like RC and incorporated more elements of Indian culture into the atmosphere of their music rather than the video, I might have respected them a little. Quite frankly, they come across as Indians trying to appeal to Americans via a radical, albeit corny genre of American music that died back in the 00's. Calling them "folk metal" is a bit rich.
@@NavySeal6474
"If only Bloodywood had done like RC and incorporated more elements of Indian culture into the atmosphere of their music rather than the video"
you surely mean the other way round ...
I listened to RC's Devadevam and there is pretty much nothing indian in it ...
(whereas Bloodywood sounds way more indian right from the beginning ... (not so much after I agree))
1:03 Igorrr, what a fantastic french band. The lyrics writer actually invented a language, and they use it in songs
Kooool. Make yourself know about *Magma* . If yourself doesn't already know.
I feel like people have forgotten Skinny Puppy...and significant parts of the Industrial scene of the 80s and 90s.
Had a friend who installed pro sound systems in cars back early 90s. Whenever he really wanted to test a setup to its limits he'd use Skinny Puppy because of how dynamic and well produced some of their stuff was compared to other bands of the time.
Trust skinny puppy not forgotten
Love Clown Core… so glad to see them get love on here ❤
Are there even any original members left in GWAR?
Needed Baby Metal, Lady Beard and Cybertronic Spree
GWAR!!!! FUCK YEAH!!!
Clown core caught me off guard. I wasn't prepared for that lol
well, non-western culture doesn't mean weird
that's what I'm saying the hu is just a Mongolian metal band
Oh go away. Blah. Just watch the video and move on
It does to anybody who's only familiar with Western culture...
@@dehumanizedanomaly3413 So americans/yanks!
@@angmaraboli6511 I wouldn't exactly say Americans have culture...
GWAR R PIONEERS. The Hu is awesome. The energy levels of BLOODY WOOD music is mind blowing . Though i dont know how the cool acapella band is heavy metal ?. But all the bands are good !!!
Erease right now The Hu from the list, that band kick ass.
The Hu does not belong on this list
Not bad
Igorrrrrrrr
A lot of songs you could have chosen for Igorrr, and you went with Parpaing. I love it, don't get me wrong, but it's one of his more straightforward songs, which was probably a consequence of having Fisher on vocals.
Igorrr is amazing.
Highly recommended!
This isn't a metal band but King gizzard and the lizard wizard is weird
Gwar covering Boston. Who saw that coming?
And they were really good, too.
Well they are already covered Kansas when Oderus was still alive....so plenty of people?
Where's Mr Bungle
India is entering the NA 90s.
OK, clown core is more like a joke, I think, Igorrr is weird, but Bloodywood or The Hu? It's just folk metal, why indian or mongolian folk should be any worse comparing to german or celtic? By the way - Master Boot Record is weird and awesome as well, you might like it :)
Bloodywood is like Linkin Park And sepultura in one
I love how they kicked it off with clown core, one of their finest too.
Current pop music is weird. This is awesome
I came here for Okilly Dokilly. And when I saw that you got Bloodywood, I just waited for The Hu. But I still miss Nuclear Power Trio. Well, maybe next time. 🤘🎹
I had my doubts about Okilly Dokilly being good but this here video smashes my doubt to dust.
3:18 I didn’t know ned Flanders was in a metal band.
Bloodywood is great
Последняя песня - супер!
Лупа! лупа, лупа, лагерь, вся херня!
@2:47 "can you FEED me?"
two of these were bands doing covers? Like how you gonna show Gwar doing a cover of a Kansas song?! then the last one wasn't even a metal band but a Hispanic music group with *metal* face makeup?!? Way to stereotype beyond belief, the artistic skull makeup has been a cultural tradition in many Hispanic countries for like 1,000 years... ever hear of Day of the Dead? Come on now, the trve metal community doesn't stereotype like that.
I'm 69 I think it sounds tight...good stuff here
It is a great list. I would like to add Mr. Bungle and Circus of Dead Squirrels 🤘
Okilly dokilly broke my reality when I first saw that white wine spritzer video lol
Igorrr should be #1
Bloodywood was sick 🔥 in there own way
Was waiting for DownTheSun, Medicated but yeah, suppose that would only make a top fifty list haha
Oh my gosh, what universe is this?! Haha wth!
Mind bloooowwn
yeeeeeeessssss
1:35 need for speed 2 se, mystic peaks 😔👌🏼
I love Okilly Dokilly!!! And where is The Residents?
I listen to Bloodywood...they are a good band
Is Okilly Dokilly supposed to be a bunch of Ned Flandrers'?
yep. They're a Nedcore band.
Dude, Igorrr sounded amazing.
Bloodywood isn't weird, they are great band
I miss Hatebeak on this list! It's a Deathmetal band, but the lead singer is a grey parrot XD, I'd consider that weird and not bands that put traditional influences in their music. But it shouldn't be hate or something! It's my opinion and I understand that this also is a very different kind of metal, I just don't think the word 'weird' is fitting so well :)
Better headline: Top10 most interesting and innovative metal bands right now!
Cartoon theory,mr bungle and dillinger escape plan And the faceless are the weirdest
Igorrr.!
By word of Author - Igorrr music inspired scenes of Fall of Fulgrim/Creation of Noise Marines (Marvagilia) in WH40K/Horus Heresy.
I take offense to Bloodywood being considered weird. They are straight up bad ass!
According to this video OkillyDokilly is a band about sixtuplets killing each other and Gwar is a prog band. You might want to choose your clips more wisely.
I love most of these bands!
1:35 This is just Folk Metal...
I think Mac Sabbath was already acknowledged by the old bat Ozzy Osbourne himself though. 🤔
GWAR is also an established act though, like Alestorm and or Wind Rose. I want to root for Clown Core but it's already been done before (Insane Clown Posse) with some jazzy tweaks thrown in there for "uniqueness". 🤷🏾♂️
Edit-
Kuburan looks like a Thai (??) version of a local band in our country, Tanya Markova.
Cok Kuburan iso mlebu kene 🤣🤣🤣
Strange amazing things
PART TWO PLZ
Genres like clown core
Are INSANELY talented with timing instrumentals
Gwar hasn't been the same since Dave Brockie died.
Bloodywoooooood !!!
I love weird 😂👍❤️🎼
I don't consider Igorr weird. They're just fusion with drum and bass.
3cityindust3, i could not agree more.
This is why people think us metalheads are weirdos
Clown core are interesting.👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹
Solid list but I would have thrown The Locust in there somewhere. Very weird but very good band.
Where is Sebkha Chott?? :-D
If this is you're idea of weird, I have some bad news for you lol
not sure how the last bonus band classifies as metal but sure
Okilly dokilly looks like a bunch of software engineers sat together once and said "fuck silicon valley, we choose death valley" \m/
They're a band of Ned Flanderses
