I’ve listed all the materials needed to tie these patterns in the description, in the order they appear in the video.

The first one would be an absolute slayer for muskie and possibly big perch on light gear! I wish I could find some flies like that in the UK.

Very cool looking fly but this version is more for show. The hard fins will cause spin and the halos are more trouble then they are worth. You won’t see many like this for sale because of how time consuming they are to make. No one wants to lose a fly of this value haha! That said if you tie you can tone it down a bit to be a very cool pattern to fish

@@MainelyFlies I think if you wrapped the fly using a 3-8g jighead. You might sort out some of the balancing/issues relating to it spinning. Although I 100% understand what you mean about having less fancy version due to cost and the ability for lures to find snags.

I think this was the first fly tying channel I subscribed to, as I’m new to the sport and your directions were understandable (though my results are not always as beautiful as yours are😆). Thank You and congratulations on the subscriber milestone! Hope more folks find your vids! #flies

Thanks for the kind words! The good news is only people care how the fly looks if it’s even close the fish are far less judgmental
