Great video. There’s so much to see in DC. My grandmother lived around the corner on 37th St NW. we may have even walked those steps when we were kids, although that would have been before the movie.
Always interesting to see a movie location as usually the surroundings are so different from what was seen in the film (movie magic for sure) The Exorcist is still the scariest horror movie ever, in my opinion. Thank you for showing us these locations.
In 1975 my husband and I went to the drive-in movies to watch The Exorcist. It started storming, the wind was blowing, our car was hit by strong gusts of wind, rain, hail, lightning, a tornado watch was issued and not one person left!
Hey, First Commenter here! So ... (1) Very cool and I'm only slightly jealous. (2) Cue "Tubular Bells"... (3) A "Slinky" opportunity was totally missed here, Lol! (4) As always, if ANY strange occurrences start happening around either of you, give me a call! (5) Which has the scarier theme music, "The Exorcist" or "The Omen"? (6) Safe travels, My Friends!
Cool! I was watching it last night but had to turn the television off when her eyes changed🫣. It’s still the #1 scariest horror movie for me. Thanks for the video!
When I was on a project in LA the guy I worked with was from Iowa and is a huge move buff ... we spent multiple weekends searching down movie locations ... something I thought was going to be really boring but it was great fun !!! I’ll check this out next time I’m in DC ... Great stuff !!!
Movie locations are our favorite. My 2 girls and I just did a video there during Spring Break. But I am so sad that I didn’t know about the movie poster location. The real question is did you make it to Georgetown Cupcakes (from TV show DC Cupcakes). Only a couple blocks away and the best cupcakes ever!
Thanks for that bit of info. Never knew where this took place. It's been so many years since I watched that movie. I remember laughing through it because it was so ridiculous.
Anytime I'm in DC, we slip over to Georgetown, grab a box of cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake and then head a couple blocks over to 3600 Prospect Street and go work them off with a few trips up and down those miserably high steps. And tell me how Damien Karras went out the window, to the steps when the window is a good 30ft from the entry lol
I run up and down the stairs very day, I wish individuals please quite film the stairs.... I go to tombs cross the streets some times for dinner or lunch..... I live near the stairs... I just hate all the individuals out of town keep 🎥 the stairs......
Why don't u take the 20 min drive to Mt Ranier MD to the actual house of the real Exorcist took place,*(the ìnspiration for the Movie). The house has been removed, and the space is now a playground for Children.
Love the shirt Bethany (my initials happen to be D.C. 🙂) Seeing this, I'm thinking that someone could do a whole series of famous/unique steps and stairways.
Thanks for that memory I went and visited that when I was stationed in DC in 1977 serving in the Marine Corps

Ohh ya the coming out of the ground is knucklehead !!!
Good morning! It’s always fun to re-experience a horror scene before I’m fully awake. My legs were jumping! Scary stuff! xx

Ohhhhhhh brilliant spot to visit. Thanks for sharing your latest adventure. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I didn't realize that the movie was shot on the house above the steps. Very cool! That is the steepest stairway ever! SPOOKY!
I got to visit these steps four years ago. It was a bucket list thing for me and yeah, those steps are steep. Killer cardio and leg workout.
Such an interesting location! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this quick video 👍🏻😷👍🏿🇨🇦🇵🇭🇺🇲
Our pleasure! We figured it was a good little kick off to the Halloween season. :)
I made it out to the Exorcist house and steps today, 10/7/2023. It was a delightfully dreary day which fit the mood!

You guys are so lucky to be able to do these things. Glad to enjoy it with you 😸

"Tubular Bells"

I never knew that those steps were in Washington DC. I was thinking Georgetown, Kentucky
The author Blatty attended Georgetown University. While there he heard of a boy who was exorcized. He was the inspiration.

Awesome!
Sweet!!

When I lived and worked in DC, I went to it often!
Father Karris sacrificing himself to save Reagan got me. I haven't watched part 2 as of yet but heard it should be good.
If you're serious, Exorcist 2 isn't. If you're kidding, good one. Exorcist 3 is great.
The window was located on the house next to the stairs. The house was closer to the wall.
Drew... you should take her to see the real Exorcist house in St. Louis where it actually happened.
Hey man! Yeah, not a bad idea!
Cool location! It's sad how much graffiti there is.. it's almost everywhere nowadays. 😒
I have a photo of two of my kids there taken when they were 4 and 2. We'd just walked down them.
Another great video thanks 😊 Wow you're a long way from home be careful Washington's a dangerous city like most cities .😮
3600 . Didn't realize that was the house.
I been on those step about 20 times at least since I was a kidd..😂😂😂😂
Are there 66.6 steps?
Damn cholos are tagging buildings in Georgetown, too.
I run up and down the stairs very day, I wish individuals please quite film the stairs.... I go to tombs cross the streets some times for dinner or lunch..... I live near the stairs... I just hate all the individuals out of town keep 🎥 the stairs......

We have a very long episode coming on October 7th that we hope you check out!
Why don't u take the 20 min drive to Mt Ranier MD to the actual house of the real Exorcist took place,*(the ìnspiration for the Movie). The house has been removed, and the space is now a playground for Children.
Off of 38th and Bunker hill Rd.
Graffiti. Really? Smh.
Never watched the movie. Just don't like that kind of movie. Great look.
