I'm a Canadian from the west coast and I was shocked to hear about this tragedy. I thank you for dedicating this to the Nova Scotians who lost their lives to this senseless tragedy. I also play the pipes, even though my background is not Scottish.
Im an American, Scotch Irish through and through.... its Christmas time here now.... i waa looking for Amazing Grace on bagpipes and came across this. I could talk for hours about Life and my ideas of it but the world isnt about my thoughts..... im sorry for the loss of these souls, hopefully they were right with God and are in a much better place than we are
I'm in love with the way you play. I've never heard bagpipe music performed your way: so confident, authentic, romantic and deeply emotional. What's more, I've basically heard several bagpipes playing the same melody, but your performances embrace several melody variations played simultaniously and well harmonized. This is outstanding!
This year on Anzac day I layed down flowers at a memorial in full Australian Navy Cadet formal gear with my divisional officer, The piper began to play this song and I instantly begun to cry.
Check out udemy, there are courses on there. Also I think that the Dark Isle Piper teaches over skype. It is never too late to learn the pipes and you will never regret it.
As fella from the east coast now living in Ontario thank you been feeling down and missing home cause i can't visit at the moment it's a small taste of home
I love the way you switched the notes. I've never heard it been played like that before. Sounded amazing. I actually balled up in tears part way through. I've never been to the East Coast but I am Canadian and couldn't believe what happened. Thank you🙏
One can appreciate the time that was spent on this project producing a respectful and beautiful message of hope in a time of lost and loneliness. My Nana, MacDonald of Clanranald and many other family members were born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Thank you.
My friend was a firefighter and died while trying to save others. They played this at his funeral. I’m a tough old bird but the tears flow. Thank you for sharing your great gift.
From a Nova Scotian of strong Scottish heritage thank you. I'm late but never too late to say thank you for this. This was my grandfathers favourite song and ultimately his burial song... We will never forget.
Such truly beautiful piping!, my tears are rolling down my cheeks, happens every time, but your playing is wonderful. Scenery as always stunning and such lovely shots of those folks. Yes, they are gone for now but they are resting in peace, and here’s the thing, they will be back.
I know what you mean.It makes me cry when I hear it to.Reminds Me of My Mom.She Loved hearing This Song played on Bag Pipes along with Millions of people.Whenever I hear This Awesome Song played on Bag Pipes I just stop and Enjoy the Music. This Instrument will give you chills, the eeriness of The Bag Piper.
Couldn't Agree with You more.As soon as I hear Bag Pipes being played they are usually Playing Amazing Grace, probably The Most requested Song.Pray that this Song Will Be Played at My Funeral.
@@markallen6818 I love to pray for that. I really want this song at my funeral too . For me it is by far the most beautiful song on earth and especially when the bagpipes play along with it
What a beautiful composition! To all those we lost in war. Freedom comes at a great cost. To the families of those grieved from loss. From the heart of a veteran. Thank you for your sacrifice. REMEMBER OUR FALLEN...
The "Pipes" can convey many things. Among which are celebration, joy, or pride in one's heritage. But the mournful tune of "Amazing Grace"; brings to full display the sadness of lives cut short all too soon.
My first hearing... My heart breaks yet again for a gentle touch here in a world so wrought with evil intent and cruel disregard for the sacredness of life. Bless you Dark Isle Angel. Amen.
My grandmother ( on my moms side so her fathers mother) love’s amazing Grace, even had a bagpiper play it at her funeral, RIP Lois Farmer Kime November 1st, 1929 - November 28th, 2021, I and the rest of your family miss you dearly, I still cry for her. She died after a doctor gave her the wrong dose of her medicine and died in the back of a EMS. Edit: we have a picture of her on our fridge and I’m playing this for her with tears still in my eyes. And she was staring to get Alzheimers ( not really bad) and I think the lord called her home cause he didn’t want her to suffer. Also she did still remember all of us so that should tell you how bad she had Alzheimer’s ( so not to terribly but she would forget to eat). And a word of advice; spend time with the people you love especially grandparents cause one day they will depart this world and you’ll miss your chance to be with them, I still saw her when we had thanksgiving together with my moms side of the family.
It's sad to see the world come to this and to the families of those left behind I pray you find peace in these pipes. gum faigh an anaman fois ann an sìth
I'm from Nova Scotia. The gunman was shot down by RCMP less than 1 km from my sister's home. He drove right by her house to the Irving Bigstop. My , then 4 yr old, nephew often played outside. When I think about how horribly close we came that day to losing him, I'm filled with both gratitude and fear. Thank you for your beautiful tribute, it's absolutely lovely 💙🤍💙🤍💙
Even though it brings tears I had to come back because I wanted to hear you play. Even though it is in remembrance of tragedy and the senseless loss of so many lives it is the most beautiful rendition I have heard. It wrests the soul from darkness.
A beautiful, heartfelt tribute to friends, family and loved ones whose lives were so senselessly cut short. To my fellow Canadians and anyone who is grieving a loss during these difficult times, my deepest condolences. “In sorrow, we mourn those lost. In gratitude, we embrace those around us.
