Seeing the speed with which the Wraith's plasma projectile falls makes me value the Marines and soldiers of the different branches of the UNSC much more. As a Spartan you can react so fast that it seems to be in slow motion. Which makes me think about whether the perception of time in games should be more worked on. 1 second for a Spartan should be used to do a higher percentage of processing in their brain. there's actually a theory going around (or it was when Halo was popular, not so much nowadays ) that the gameplay you see in all games is in Spartan-time hence why you can dodge plasma projectiles/needlers...vehicles are slow and the player can move so quick compared to the NPCs. This mod makes combat as close to canonically accurate it can be to a normal un-augmented human...and it truly is hell
@@pvt.jonwallace I dunno about that, considering that Halo 3 ODST plays exactly like Halo 3, and as far as I know, ODSTs are still regular humans. But I guess that was just Bungie not wanting to alter the gameplay to much so people wouldn't get mad XD
Well if there's a silver lining to this is that their deaths were relatively quick... better than being glassed still alive or buried beneath all that ice....
This is why the writers should have made the assault rifle, battle rifle, and dmr one weapon. Fully automatic, burst, and single shot capable with a 3.5 optic and underbarrel grenade launcher. A UGL would help regular humans turn the tide against heavily armored and shielded covenant and flood forms because it can reach out farther than the hand grenade, as well as supplement the rocket launcher. If the humans are gonna be that weak you at least have to throw them a bone somehow. Anyway, can this mod be played in first person? Idk why but I cant do halo in 3rd person.
I also wish these mods had a 1st person option but I think the big reason all these marine mods don't is cause Halo never had a 1st person POV model for marine arms that the modders can borrow. It might be too complicated for modders to model such a thing themselves / be too complicated to code the animations
Imagine being a marine in this situation, you play for about five minutes and you have a sniper rifle, and a Spartan just walks up and takes it right out of your hands, trading you for a plasma pistol.
