Yea,Whit was amazing. I got to see them in Cleveland. Was impressed how well Whit did, different vocal style from Ugly Kid Joe. I wonder if he could pull off Type O Negative?
Who remembers Stereomud? That's what LOA's new name was going to be after they kicked Whitfield out and Alan was going to sing. Joey wound up forming the van with a bunch of other dudes and it was really good. At least the first album.
I saw them at the Ozzfest in Milton Keynes. I was SO impressed with Whitfield's ability to translate Keith's/Minna's vocal style. He was quite a change in terms of style in terms of stage acting, though - climbing the stage sides and stuff - hardly something you'd see Caputo do :D
Not really, it just depends on the situation and the band. Sometimes when a band replaces members it's for the better! Some musicians are just irreplaceable though kind of like Dimebag Darrell Abbott from Pantera. You just can't replace talent like that...
I think it would be for the better if LOA replaced Mina/Keith in 2024 and found a different singer. Mina/Keith has lost their touch over the years from what I have observed.
@@MrKredski I have seen every L.O.A. Line up live. Something must have changed. Last time I saw them, it was awful. Could have been an off night but it was terrible. Very disappointing because I always felt they were a very underrated band.
I like anything Whit does and what LOA does, but this was not a perfect fit. Whit was trying another vocal style not his own. Not saying he didn't do a great job. It just wasn't him.
Totally see where you’re coming from, but I can’t think of another singer who could nail Mina’s SO distinct style as closely as Whit does. Hate being ignorant, but he’s the absolute last person I thought could’ve pulled it off, and I was thoroughly humbled for doubting.
@@fjmization Oh! I definitely agree. Whit has a great range. However, I think from interviews, mostly from others in LOA, it seemed he may have been uncomfortable and trying to fill Mina's shoes instead of doing his own thing.
Saw this tour. Crane is a fantastic singer. I prefer his singing. I’d take him over KeithMina but I fully understand the writing done by Keith is legendary
Actually this gig changed Whit's singing. He really emulated Mina on that Medication album. With the way they enunciate. It was an important job for him because it made him expand as a musician
I think that the reason why crane just simply emulated his voice was because the band was only doing that tour and splitting up right after, so there wouldn't be any use to bring something new to the table creatively if crane was just simply a touring replacement
I'm surprised there are as many positive comments as there are on this video. I've known the guys in LOA since their first US tour and out of loyalty and a fan of the music in general, I saw them 10 times with Whitfield Crane. I couldn't stand it, still can't. I think he sounds atrocious. Only one person is made to sing those songs, that's just all there is to it.
Interesting. I thought he did a stellar job. If there’s only one person was made to sing those songs then who was it? Keith or Mina? Because they don’t sound the same. 🤷♂️
While i appreciate the effort and his vocals are def not “bad”, they dont hold a candle to Mina/Keith. Those lyrics are so personal, no one Can sing them and translate the raw emotions like Keith did/Mina does.
Holy shit... this was downright sacrilegious. You just can't Caputo. Nothing against Crane in person but there is zero pain in his voice. Im glad they kicked him out.
20 YEARS WAITING FOR THIS... THANKS!!!!
Wow, Whitfield did an awesome job. That's tough to pull off.
Joe Chapman He just beaten KC. (Keith)
@HORSE SIX ZERO I know Whit. Coke head? No. Alcoholic? Yeah.
Whit is an amazing singer
@@luchagain3424 Wow, that is awesome. I saw his band Medication open up for Coal Chamber and Type 0 Negative.
I think he does a good job 🤘
10:20 Wow he sings "No Hope" so good! So weird to hear them with a different vocalist but he does a solid job considering. Thanks for posting this!
Whitfield a true journeyman
Damn, Whit is kicking ass here! And it's a trip that he's sang on two songs about fathers ignoring their sons.
Amazing Band, Amazing songs, art, And Whit on fire💪
Much better than I was expecting.

Yeah, I keep listening to it. :)
He absolutely smashed it at ozzfest ' so good

Dont say mina you feed into the delusion and enable him
I was there, too. He did a good job.
@@GODHATESADOPTION yeah, like if someone calls you intelligent? Hush up and let the grown ups speak.
I was there that day too. Did such a good job for LOA. Great day out too 🤘🤘🤘
@@Goldie1977 I went to Ozzfest 3 years in a row. 3 of the best days of my life.
Different times, if this happened now people would be like "No Keith, no Life of Agony but back then everyone just rolled with it & accept.

Saw Whit with them in Sweden and everybody thought he was great👍👍
I'm a huge fan of Mina Caputo but Whitfield's done a great job with LOA. He's overposting his natural singing though
Das hätte ich gerne gesehen gehabt damals an meinem 19 Geburtstag Life Of Agony zusammen mit (Hed)P.E. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I feel bad because he had such big shoes to fill. I would rather have him singing now because Keith or Mini just does not have it at all now.
Oh hell, Mina definitely HAS IT! I just saw LOA ten days ago and it was perfect.

Crane with a shaved head
Does anyone know about how long Crane was with LOA? I think his voice fits pretty well. He's definitely an underrated vocalist.
About a year or 2. Was lucky to catch him once live. Saw him 2 times with Ugly Kid Joe and honestly, he's better in L.O.A.!!
Blake Peacock he toured with them beginning in Dec 97. Left the band in Jan 99.
still here November 2019
I was at this show.
Did they ever released "new" material written for Witfield's voice?
No.
Nah, I don't have anything bad to say about Crane but he's too "happy" sounding to make this legit!
It would be interesting to hear LOA try "Everything About You".
Bring some of that Brooklyn hardcore feel to it!
Great, thanx! Do you have (hed) p.e.'s set?
Saw this tour. Crane is a fantastic singer. I prefer his singing. I’d take him over KeithMina but I fully understand the writing done by Keith is legendary
Alan is the main writer.
Not bad at all but Crane was just emulating Keith and not bringing anything new to the table.

Setlist?
The worst decision Life Of Agony ever made is to get Keith Caputo back.... 😆
Wow. Really? Crane sounds like a bad karaoke version of Keith. See Keith, Mina, however you say it there's no comparison.
Keith G Keith sounded a bit like Kermit the 🐸 in their early days. 😂
@@keithgillrie8718 Keith yes, Mina no.
Les séquences live sont excellentes! Par contre, le reste ruine franchement l'image que j'avais du groupe!! Alors, c'est aussi "ça" LOA?😨😱😨
His look was very West Coast
Still is. He hasn’t changed much at all.

Agreed. Keith, I have to say.
now we need to put Crane on vocals in the life of agony, he’s a man.
It's not the gender of the vocalist that made LOA, it's the memories of the band.
While i appreciate the effort and his vocals are def not “bad”, they dont hold a candle to Mina/Keith. Those lyrics are so personal, no one Can sing them and translate the raw emotions like Keith did/Mina does.
Funny, the bass player wrote a lot of the old lyrics.

Except Keith wrote very little of the LOA music and lyrics.

Turn it off! Turn it OFF!!!! TURN IT OFF !!!! This is like watching my wife take BBC. It's not even the same band without Keith and Sal.

Coke-head Crane coming to liberate AMERICA!!!
