None of these books about Elvis were written when he was alive. I think it's unfair that everybody had something to say about Elvis, after he died. He'll never have a chance to respond to any allegation that has been made about him... when he could've sued for slander, defamation, or libel. I think that's pretty telling of whether a lot of things are true or not. Most of the people who have written books about Elvis, got paid a lot of money to say sensational things. Plus, nobodys story matches the other's about him. Only a few things in all of these books line up.

I don't think anyone should be critical of the young Priscilla who was solely in a relationship with a celebrity such as Elvis at such a tender age of 14. I believe they truly loved each other but his lifestyle and her innocence of youth without ever having an identity herself took a toll. I loved Elvis from day one My first record I bought was Heartbreak Hotel. I think it must have been hard to be with someone every other woman wanted and who had his own friends and life going on. I'm sure he loved her to, he just didn't know what to do with her. I saw him every time he was in Vegas and OMG the women were crazy, throwing their panties and bras on the stage and a few times Priscilla was there just watching. If the womens husbands could have seen them they would not have believed their wives could act that way. I was always up near the stage paralyzed and I remember thinking poor Priscilla, how awful to be in love and married to a man every woman wanted. Not just wanted, but went nuts, it was crazy. I think neither one of them wanted to hurt the other and they knew the only way they could love each other was to be divorced. The judge made the comment they were the only couple he had seen walk out of court right after a divorce holding hands. They did get along after that and even got to know each other better She just wasn't mature enough and I'm sure Elvis wanted her to be happy, and knew she never would be if they were together. I know in one of the shows about their life, they had talked about their life and how it was to bad it did not work, but they had joked that maybe they would have their day again sometime and they could ride golf carts around the yard when they got old, so I don't think there was ever any hate only regret between them. I believe Ann Margaret was the adult Priscilla in his life but that couldn't be either, for many reasons. So I KNOW first hand what it's like to be left in a marriage and you will always love that person and put up with them no matter what!! It's called being faithful til do us part (vows). He'll never have a chance to respond to any allegation that has been made about him... when he could've sued for slander, defamation, or libel. I loved Elvis from day one My first record I bought was Heartbreak Hotel. I think it must have been hard to be with someone every other woman wanted and who had his own friends and life going on. I'm sure he loved her to, he just didn't know what to do with her. I believe Ann Margaret was the adult Priscilla in his life but that couldn't be either, for many reasons. In his life there was no room for marriage and I will always believe they loved each other enough to not want to hurt each other so they divorced and they didn't hurt anymore. If she could have been a trophy on the shelf he would be happy but he realized she deserved more than that and it takes caring enough about someone to let them go, but that is what happened.
