I love it when bike companies change it up. As an e-bike reviewer, I know you can appreciate when they spice it up with different and unique parts you haven't seen before and even better when they stray away from the usual cookie cutter frame style. I love how this frame design looks too!
Thank you so much for this detailed review! We've documented every bit of feedback as well as suggestions in the comments! The motor and torque sensor in our production models have been improved!💪🦾 We definitely look forward to seeing you review our 750W mid-drive motor! 🥰
Ill like it. I hope they work out all the kinks. And also a quieter motor would be nice. Also bump up to 52 volt system. Looking forward to the full production model. Thanks for your time and review buddy.
Heybike kind of shot themselves in the foot by giving you their prototype that's lacking so much. And the price is just too steep for what you get. They say that's a promotional price, who are they kidding, they'll never be able to sell these at their proposed regular price.
Those are good ideas that should be implemented along with adding fenders, rack, and integrated tail light as well as iron out all the other issues. Then the current price might be okay.
I would not want a bike without fenders and a rear rack. After adding them how much weight are you really saving. More important is a larger battery 20 and 52 or 60 volts. I would pass on this one
Too heavy for what it offers. It doesn't have a large battery or really large motor that could explain for the extra weight. To pay for the premium of a carbon fiber frame and not get truly great reductions in weight?
Great detailed and thorough review as always from CC! I consider this channel in the Top 3 ebike reviewers, mainly due to his HONESTY. I would not hesitate buying thru him. Esp. like the carbon fiber weight but was hoping for 20 lbs lighter, still 15 lbs is good but worth that much? I like the looks, esp. the Neon Green trapeze frame, the only one for my tastes 😎👍 but no one has reviewed that yet? Its a mountain bike style, but agree fenders as a option is a must but wont look cool. Front shocks at this price point deserve the best full adjust hydraulics! Rear shock looks great once thats tweaked. Tail lights should be integrated if not battery type included--theyre like $10 😆 Why the 750 motor screams at 27 mph+ when mine hums at less watts? Cant believe its got 160nm!? I got hills so 1000w is ideal but less nm? Last but definitely not least is the display, not a fan of the integrated displays at all. The only benefit I see for integrated displays is SECURITY/LOCKING the ebike from thieves and GPS tracking to help retrieve it with the app. Without that, the cons are no adjustable viewing angle and tiny screens. I like to easily see bike and battery data etc and to swap handlebars for COMFORT. I realize Heybike campaigned on the integrated one, but having a adjustable stem or a optional handlebar display type is more flexible . Lastly, Id be more interested if they made a 20x4 smaller version of this ebike in the future as the 26" are big bikes really for 5'10"+ riders! 👍
i don’t know. it seems like they are saying a lot of things are changing on the bike. since it’s not the final version, the video won’t be accurate enough to get an actual idea of what this bike will be like. and, i prefer not to support crowdfunding and wait for the final product to know what you are getting. for that price i could shop around on tangible bikes where the specs are already laid out. otherwise you’re both waiting and risking over a thousand bucks of your own money that could be otherwise going to an existing bike on the market.
I would not want a bike without fenders and a rear rack. After adding them how much weight do you really save? Much more important to have a 20 anp hr battery and 52 or 60 volts
Almost seems more like a cadence sensor than a torque sensor. Love the way it looks but kinda pricey. Agree that the built in display would keep you from upgrading the handlebars or changing stem for adjustments which is a con to me. Hoping you do another review after the finished production model is released.
That sucks that they made it an integrated display. It would be so much more versatile with the simple ability to change the geometry by changing out the stem and handle bars to suit different riders.
Hey, about a year ago, in a multi-bike review, you mentioned one bike that had the smoothest ride/best suspension. I can't find the video now. Do you remember what it was? Thanks.
What does it have over the E-Cells and Wired bikes? All I can think of is a few lbs maybe and torque sensor PAS. Better looking? Couple more gears. Step through frame is the main feature with dual suspension.. Magicycle Deer is one that is close but not as fast. Hard to find a 33 mph full suspension step through fat tire bike.
Hello sir. I see that you have reviewed both the Hero and wired cruiser bikes. In your professional opinion which do you perfer for a heavy rider? Im 350lbs and looking at either of these bikes to kickstart my weightloss journey. Please help!
@mr.rhodes8460 for a heavy Rider I would go with Wired. the frame seemed sturdier than the carbon fiber of the Hero. Also the motor has a lot more power to motivate a heavier rider.
26" Fat tire bikes are essential if you regularly travel 28 mph or faster. They offer much more stability and are so planted. And you just need those qualities to feel confident and safe. And they are plenty nimble enough. In fact, one of the downsides of the much skinnier 26" or 27.5" e-bikes and especially 20" e-bikes is they are far too twitchy at high speeds to feel confident. I've owned every variety so I know from personal experience.
I far prefer 20inch tires by far . I reach 28mph , super comfortable and 100% stable . 26x4 are monster tires . First words most everyone mentions when they get an e-bike with 26x4 is the bike is huge . Annoying whoever got this 26x4 inch tires started .
I wish someone would do a PLUS tire ebike instead of all these FAT tires. Plus tire (3inch wide) tires are more versatile especially for commuters! (and 77 lbs is still alot)
I cannot tell you how ridiculous this bike looks. Not to mention the parts quality. the fork, brakes, tires, bars, stem, grips, light mount, hubs and wheelset, the cranks and the derailleur and shifter. How could someone charge over $1500 for that?
Carbon fiber on a fat tire bike is not the best idea, Carbon fiber on an 80LB fat tire ebike? Why, running the risk of catastrophic failure, with zero benefits.

Definitely unique bike, not many companies doing carbon fiber, very expensive material!
I really love the wheelbase. It got a nice profile.

seriously? Someone actually paid that much for this thing? It's cheap junk. look at the parts. You must not know much about bikes eh

52v would have been nice. I was riding so fast the motor noise didn't bother me, but fir day to day slower riding it might be bothersome to folks.
Green lawns and flowering trees look really nice. We are in South Dakota it will be a while before we have green grass.
I've been to SD several times, it's a wonderfully beautiful place too!
I like the way that motor sounds!
such a gorgeous bike

Yes just buy heavier bike like 60v 39mph?
Carbon fiber is very pricey material, price is probably reasonable. I'd like to see the weight down, maybe 3in tires, air fork.

Yeah, broken spine waiting to happen when the head tube shatters.

Why all the cool good bikes only come with 4 inch fat tires..How about 2 inch rims and tires ?

The display is the same as the cyrusher ranger bike

the sad part of the bike, were can you put your phone.will it have the 4glite .i have the tyson.

Thanks for the great video. Those brakes worked great. What brand are they? Think they would work great on my Wired freedom.
RSX was the brand, they did work fantastic!

I am 6'4", 250 lbs. I enjoy riding in all areas and want a 26 x 4 bike. I like the Wired Freedom and others. What bike would you recommend?
RIFT, by Ride1up is pretty good
How many amps is controller. Love you videos brother
Off topic slightly, but in your opinon does the Grizzly live up to the hype. Now you've had yours for a while, still think it's worth it?
It is a very comfortable and powerful bike. I think it's priced a bit high. Would be a killer deal at 2700-2800.
@@CitizenCycle925 Thanks for the info 👍
Hmm same weight as the Himiway A7 Pro that's also a full-suspension ebike.

IMO, when will they realize that fat tires aren't necessary on FS bikes (unless riding on sand or snow)?

This is facts, fat tires all day. They are using them for a reason. Heavy and fast are not good with skinny tires lol@@markwexy1621

A 20" wheel would be perfect besides at least a 52v 20ah battery!
Man that thing was loud. I hope the production model isn’t like that.
I cannot stand to ride a really loud e-bike . The issue is the louder an e-bike is the lower quality the motor usually is . Quieter the better .
Sounds like my Kepler. Almost as fast. Just has better suspension with the rear.
Gotta make it a 20ah or more. Then , this would be a consideration for me
Rays going to buy it for me 😅
I don’t think I could handle the noise. Plus the price is too high.
Love the look but they priced it high. Should be $1500 or less
